Exploration Breakthrough at Rosewood

PTR Minerals Limited (ASX, PTR) has delivered a compelling update on its Rosewood Titanium Project in South Australia's northern Gawler Craton, revealing a substantial step forward in its exploration campaign. The company’s Phase 3 drilling program has extended the titanium-rich heavy mineral (HM) sands over an area exceeding 40 square kilometres, with two prominent high-grade zones spanning 22 square kilometres. Assay results from this program confirm the continuity, thickness, and quality of the mineralisation, underpinning the project's potential scale.

Notably, the maiden resource drilling program, comprising 446 holes and nearly 9,400 metres of drilling, was completed late in the quarter. Early assay batches have returned some of the best intercepts recorded to date, including thick intervals with HM grades well above 10%, reinforcing confidence in the forthcoming maiden Indicated and Inferred JORC Resource expected in the second quarter of 2026.

Expanding the Muckanippie Suite

Beyond Rosewood, PTR’s exploration efforts have identified new promising zones within the broader Muckanippie Project. The Echo Prospect, located northeast of Rosewood, has emerged as a new sediment-hosted HM mineralised zone, open along a 10-kilometre trend. Meanwhile, saprolite-hosted mineralisation at the Duke and Nardoo prospects has yielded exceptional drill results, with thick, high-grade HM intercepts starting from surface. These discoveries highlight the district-scale potential of the Muckanippie Suite and suggest multiple avenues for resource growth.

Metallurgical Progress and Product Quality

Metallurgical test work conducted during the quarter has been encouraging, producing a high-quality heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) grading between 91% and 98% HM with recoveries ranging from 86% to 95% using conventional gravity separation methods. The mineral separation testwork confirms the potential to produce a range of high-grade titanium products with low impurities, a critical factor for downstream processing and marketability. Ongoing optimisation of the processing flow sheet aims to refine product options ahead of plant design.

Corporate Strength and Funding

PTR Minerals also announced a successful $12 million placement during the quarter, providing the necessary capital to accelerate the Rosewood Project’s development. The company ended the period with a robust cash position of $16.7 million, positioning it well to fund upcoming study work, further drilling, and early-stage plant design. Additionally, the company formalised its rebranding to PTR Minerals Limited, reflecting its strategic focus on critical minerals exploration.
