Strategic Collaboration in Tennant Creek

The Tennant Creek Copper Alliance (TCCA), a partnership between CuFe Limited, Emmerson Resources Limited, and Tennant Minerals Limited, has taken a significant step forward in advancing critical minerals processing capacity in the Northern Territory. The alliance has successfully secured $600,000 in combined grants from the Northern Territory and Federal Governments, which will be matched by the member companies, effectively doubling the funding available for a comprehensive feasibility study.

This study aims to explore the viability of establishing a multi-user processing facility dedicated to copper, gold, silver, and critical minerals such as bismuth. The initiative reflects a collaborative approach to overcoming the economic challenges of developing individual deposits independently, by pooling resources and expertise to create a more financially attractive and sustainable operation.

Scope and Ambitions of the Feasibility Study

Set for completion by June 2026, the feasibility study will evaluate multiple critical factors including optimal plant configuration, capital and operating costs, site location, and infrastructure requirements such as power, water, accommodation, and transport. Environmental considerations and regulatory approvals will also be key components, ensuring the project aligns with sustainability goals and community expectations.

Importantly, the study will assess governance frameworks and funding models to facilitate third-party access, reinforcing the shared-use philosophy that underpins the alliance.
