Right Resources Limited (ASX, RRE) has delivered encouraging results from its inaugural diamond drilling campaign at the Pilot Project in New South Wales. The company’s first hole, RRPT0001, successfully intersected a broad gold stockwork zone associated with a porphyry intrusive, confirming the presence of a potentially large-scale gold-copper mineral system. Notably, the hole returned 42 metres at 0.2 grams per tonne gold starting from 338 metres downhole, alongside narrower intervals of higher-grade gold veins.

In addition to the primary porphyry target, the drilling revealed a new copper-bearing vein corridor west of the main zone, with assays showing up to 0.1% copper and accompanying gold and silver mineralisation. This discovery effectively doubles the number of stockwork vein targets identified in the maiden drilling phase, exceeding initial proof-of-concept expectations.

Step-Out Drilling Extends Mineralised System

The second hole, RRPT0002, drilled 220 metres south of the first, visually confirmed the continuity of the mineralised system over at least 200 metres. Although assay results are pending, geological logging indicates stronger alteration and veining than the initial hole, with historic underground workings intersected near surface. The presence of a persistent pyrite halo in both holes aligns with characteristics of major New South Wales gold-copper porphyry systems, such as Cadia Ridgeway and Boda.

These findings suggest the Pilot Project sits within the shallow expression of a much larger mineralised engine at depth. The company has secured approval to extend drilling depths to 1,200 metres, allowing targeted exploration of deeper zones where copper and gold grades may increase, consistent with comparable regional deposits.

Geological Context and Next Steps

Right Resources has drawn geological parallels between its Pilot Project results and early-stage drilling at renowned NSW porphyry systems, highlighting similarities in alteration styles, mineralisation patterns, and structural settings. To refine its understanding, the company has engaged the Centre for Ore Deposit and Earth Sciences at the University of Tasmania for specialist input.

Additional drilling is underway in a fan-style program to delineate mineralisation distribution along strike, with a downhole geophysics survey planned to further assess targets. The company remains well funded with $7.7 million in cash as of December 2025, supporting ongoing exploration activities.
