Weebo Drilling Yields 28m at 0.65g/t and 16m at 1.26g/t Gold Intercepts
Magmatic Resources has reported significant gold intersections from recent drilling at its Weebo Gold Project, confirming extensive shallow mineralisation across multiple prospects. The company is poised to advance these targets with further drilling and resource definition in 2026.
- Significant gold mineralisation confirmed at Ockerburry, Scone, Stone prospects
- Recent aircore and reverse circulation drilling extends known mineralised trends
- New shallow gold targets identified at West Gold, Wheel of Fortune, and Sholl’s Find
- Drilling highlights potential for resource growth along a 5km gold trend
- Further exploration and resource definition drilling planned for 2026
Exploration Momentum at Weebo
Since acquiring the Weebo Gold Project in mid-2025, Magmatic Resources has rapidly advanced exploration activities, completing multiple phases of aircore (AC) and reverse circulation (RC) drilling. These programs have targeted both early-stage and advanced prospects, with a focus on defining gold mineralisation along a 5-kilometre strike at the Ockerburry prospect and an 800-metre strike at Scone.
Encouraging Drilling Results
The recent drilling campaigns have delivered a series of significant gold intersections, confirming extensive shallow mineralisation. Highlights include 16 metres at 1.26 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 44 metres and 28 metres at 0.65 g/t from 64 metres at Ockerburry 3, as well as high-grade hits such as 10 metres at 2.55 g/t from 57 metres at the Stone prospect. These results validate the prospectivity of the Weebo Project and extend known mineralised zones.
Pipeline of Emerging Targets
Beyond the established prospects, Magmatic has identified new shallow gold targets at West Gold, Wheel of Fortune, and Sholl’s Find. Aircore drilling at West Gold intersected gold mineralisation coincident with historic alluvial gold blowings, suggesting bedrock sources for surface anomalies. Similarly, Wheel of Fortune and Sholl’s Find have returned encouraging assay results, contributing to a robust pipeline of targets for future drill testing.
Strategic Location and Geological Setting
Situated within the prolific Yilgarn Craton, the Weebo Gold Project benefits from proximity to several multi-million-ounce gold mines, including Darlot, Agnew–Lawlers, and Bellevue. The project’s geology comprises a complex sequence of greenstone belts, felsic volcanics, and ultramafic intrusives, providing fertile ground for shear-hosted gold mineralisation. Magmatic’s exploration approach leverages this geological framework to systematically test and expand mineralised zones.
Looking Ahead
Magmatic’s Managing Director, David Richardson, emphasised the achievement of delivering four drill programs within six months of acquisition and highlighted plans to continue advancing key prospects with further drilling and potential resource definition. The company’s technical team is prioritising targets to maintain exploration momentum through 2026, aiming to convert early-stage discoveries into defined resources.
Bottom Line?
Magmatic Resources’ Weebo drilling success sets the stage for a pivotal year of exploration and resource growth.
