Red Mountain Mining Ltd (ASX:RMX) has announced a significant advancement in its exploration efforts at the Armidale Antimony-Gold Project in New South Wales. The company’s recent comprehensive auger soil sampling campaign has successfully defined five high-confidence orogenic antimony drill targets at the Oaky Creek prospect, a key area within the project.

This extensive sampling has delineated a large-scale antimony-gold vein system stretching approximately 3 kilometres along strike at surface. The results include exceptionally high soil assays, with antimony concentrations reaching up to 1.16% Sb and localized peaks as high as 3,011ppm Sb, underscoring the prospect’s potential.

Systematic Sampling and Target Definition

The recent infill and extensional auger soil program, which tripled previous coverage to around 1,300 samples, focused on both Oaky Creek South and North areas. It confirmed coherent northeast-trending antimony-arsenic anomalies, some extending over 300 metres and remaining open-ended, suggesting further mineralisation beyond current boundaries.

These anomalies closely correlate with mapped quartz-carbonate-stibnite veins and historical workings, reinforcing the geological model of an orogenic vein system. The company highlighted multiple priority targets, including the Oaky Creek South Main Grid and the historical workings, which are now drill-ready.

The company is finalising preparations to commence drilling at Oaky Creek in the second quarter of 2026, aiming to test the newly defined targets. Concurrently, metallurgical test results for the Oaky Creek prospect are expected in April, which will be critical in assessing the potential for producing a high-grade antimony concentrate with strong recovery rates.

Additionally, Red Mountain anticipates further assay results from its Thompson Falls Antimony Project in the United States, following encouraging initial high-grade findings.
