OD6 Metals has embarked on a landmark exploration campaign at the Quinn Fluorspar Project in Nevada, marking the first systematic fieldwork at the site in approximately 60 years. This initiative signals a renewed focus on a region historically known for its ultra high-grade fluorspar mineralisation, with grades exceeding 40% calcium fluoride (CaF2) in key deposits.

The project, located roughly 220 kilometres north of Las Vegas, holds strategic significance given the United States’ complete reliance on imported fluorspar, a critical mineral essential for sectors ranging from battery technology to aerospace and defence. OD6’s exploration program is designed to build a comprehensive geochemical and geological framework that could underpin future resource development.

Targeting High-Grade Deposits and New Zones

The initial phase involves collecting around 320 soil samples across known high-grade deposits such as the Horseshoe and Mammoth sites, as well as the recently identified Horseshoe-Jumbo alteration corridor.
