Completion of Maiden Diamond Drilling at Two Pools

Corazon Mining Limited (ASX:CZN) has completed its maiden diamond drilling program at the Two Pools gold project in Western Australia, reaching a total of 995 metres across four holes. This exceeded the initially planned 920 metres as some holes were extended where geological observations warranted further investigation. The program, which commenced less than six months after the project's acquisition in October 2025, represents the first systematic structural drilling at depth in the area, addressing a knowledge gap left by previous explorers who mostly conducted shallow drilling averaging less than 75 metres.

Visual logging of the diamond core has confirmed the presence of the mineralised system at depth, validating the structural thesis that underpinned the drilling design. Core samples have met and in some cases exceeded geological expectations, with mineralisation remaining open at depth and along strike. The drilling targeted zones with significant historical high-grade gold intercepts, including 12 metres at 8.9 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 8 metres at 7.8 g/t gold, underscoring the project's potential.

Fast-Tracked Assays and Next Steps

Throughout the drilling campaign, diamond core was transported promptly to Kalgoorlie for cutting and preparation before being sent to Bureau Veritas for assaying. By running logistics concurrently with drilling, Corazon has fast-tracked the assay process. First assay results are expected over the coming weeks and will be released to the ASX following quality assurance and quality control reviews.

The structural and geological data obtained from this maiden program will be integrated into the broader geological model to guide a follow-up reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign planned for the second quarter of calendar year 2026. This next phase aims to test strike and plunge extensions of the main mineralised system, building on the insights gained from the diamond drilling.

Strategic Exploration and Broader Portfolio

Corazon's Managing Director, Simon Coyle, highlighted the rapid progress from acquisition to drilling completion, noting the team's conviction and the quality of the opportunity. The company is also advancing exploration activities at its Feather Cap Gold Project, located along strike from major deposits in the Bryah-Padbury Basin, and continues to develop its Lynn Lake Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Sulphide Project in Manitoba, Canada.

This update follows Corazon's earlier announcement of the drilling program launch at Two Pools, which outlined the strategic objectives and planned metreage of the maiden diamond drilling campaign. The current results build on that foundation, providing tangible progress in understanding the project's geology and potential resource extensions Corazon Launches Maiden Drilling at High-Grade Two Pools Gold Project.

Bottom Line?

Pending assay results will be critical to validate the visual geological findings and guide the next phase of drilling at Two Pools.

Questions in the middle?

  • How will the forthcoming assay results influence the scale and focus of the follow-up RC drilling campaign?
  • What are the implications of the structural data for potential resource estimation at Two Pools?
  • How does the progress at Two Pools integrate with Corazon’s broader exploration strategy, including Feather Cap and Lynn Lake?
