Acquisition Expands Regional Footprint and Influencer Network

Xamble Group Limited (ASX:XGL) is preparing to finalise its acquisition of a 55.6% stake in YouthsToday, a move that will significantly broaden its presence across Southeast Asia. Upon completion, the combined entity will operate in seven countries; Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Myanmar; up from three, and will nearly triple its influencer community from 6,931 to 19,233 members. Agency relationships are also expected to increase from 19 to 65, creating what the company describes as the region’s most comprehensive full-spectrum influencer platform.

This expansion will boost the platform’s total reach from 100.7 million to 623.2 million, a 519% increase, by consolidating YouthsToday’s nano and seeder influencer layers with Xamble’s existing macro and micro capabilities. This strategic acquisition follows earlier announcements detailing the deal and its expected impact on Xamble’s growth trajectory, including the company’s recent expansion across Southeast Asia.

AI-Driven Synergies and Cost Savings

The integration will also focus on revenue synergies through cross-selling opportunities across the enlarged influencer and agency base, enabling multi-tier campaigns that span nano to macro influencers across multiple markets. This approach aims to increase the Group’s appeal to regional and global brands, enhancing its competitive positioning.

Leadership Transition to Support Integration and Transformation

In line with the acquisition, Xamble has announced a leadership change. Jason Thoe will step down as Chief Executive Officer effective 15 April 2026, after leading the company through a period of significant transformation, including an 891% growth in affiliate marketing transactions in FY2025 and the exit of the non-strategic Taiwan business.

Adrian Tan will assume the role of Interim CEO from 1 May 2026 with a six-month term based in Kuala Lumpur. Tan’s mandate includes leading the operational integration of YouthsToday from Day 1, conducting a structured review of combined management, and accelerating AI deployment to reduce structural costs and sharpen the Group’s competitive edge. Tan brings over two decades of experience in digital business transformation and AI strategy across Southeast Asia, currently serving as Regional Head of Data and AI at ADA Global.

Tan will collaborate closely with YouthsToday CEO Jazz Tan and the broader management team to ensure a seamless integration and realise the full strategic and financial potential of the combined platform.

Board Perspective and Strategic Outlook

Ganesh Kumar Bangah, Non-Executive Chair of Xamble Group, described the acquisition as a transformational milestone that more than doubles the influencer community, triples agency relationships, and expands the Group’s market footprint. He highlighted the deliberate timing of the leadership transition to ensure readiness for immediate execution post-completion.

Bangah emphasised Adrian Tan’s expertise in data, AI, and digital platform scaling as critical to the Group’s next phase, which centres on embedding AI at the core of operations rather than as an add-on. The Board also acknowledged Jason Thoe’s contributions in laying the foundations for this growth phase.
