Deep Drilling Confirms VMS Continuity at Lennon’s Find

Orange Minerals NL (ASX:OMX) has delivered a technical milestone with its maiden deep diamond drill hole (OLFD001) at the Lennon’s Find Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara. The hole, drilled to 615 metres, confirmed the continuation of volcanic massive sulphide (VMS) style mineralisation well below previously known zones, extending the system approximately 675 metres down dip. This result not only validates the geological model but also enhances understanding of the mineralised system’s architecture.

While the primary geophysical target identified by induced polarisation (IP) surveys was not directly intersected, the drill hole encountered a broad polymetallic interval from 516 to 526.6 metres featuring elevated zinc, lead and silver grades. The presence of sphalerite, galena, pyrite and chalcopyrite sulphides within this zone supports the prospectivity for thicker, higher-grade accumulations elsewhere in the system.

Electromagnetic Survey Uncovers New Targets

Complementing the drilling, a downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) survey identified multiple conductive anomalies both off-hole and in-hole. Notably, a strong off-hole conductor at 150 metres downhole correlates with sulphide mineralisation near the upper section of the hole, while other anomalies at 380–400 metres and around 480 metres downhole provide fresh vectors for targeted follow-up drilling. The latter in-hole anomaly aligns with the main mineralised interval and is interpreted as zinc-rich sulphides, which typically exhibit lower conductivity than copper-bearing equivalents.

These DHEM results are pivotal for refining exploration focus, enabling Orange Minerals to prioritise drilling towards the most prospective zones within the complex VMS system. The exploration program benefits from co-funding under the Western Australian Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme, which helps mitigate costs and supports deeper testing efforts.

Progress on Ownership and Next Steps

Orange Minerals is advancing the finalisation of its earn-in agreement with Musketeer Mining Ltd, having satisfied the key milestones to secure a 75% interest in the Lennon’s Find mining lease (M45/368). This ownership consolidation is critical as the company prepares for systematic follow-up exploration.

Further geophysical reviews, including potential drone magnetic and Lidar surveys, are underway to sharpen drilling targets.
