The assays confirm extensive enrichment of heavy minerals; primarily titanium-bearing rutile, zirconium-rich zircon, and rare earth element-bearing monazite; over a strike length exceeding 10 kilometres within the Pochico Formation.

Highlights include intercepts such as 6.9 metres at 3.65% TiO2 (4.3% rutile), 0.82% ZrO2 (1.6% zircon), and 0.169% total rare earth oxides (TREO) from 256.2 metres in drill hole NWOR-04bis, alongside multiple other mineralised seams across drill holes NWOR-01, NWOR-02, and SOR-01. Notably, the program identified a previously unreported basal heavy mineral-rich seam in the lower quartzite member of the Pochico Formation, expanding the project's prospective footprint.

Multiple Mineralised Layers Confirmed Across Zones

The drilling intersected several stacked heavy mineral-rich layers, with clear continuity between zones. Drill holes NWOR-01 and NWOR-02, positioned approximately 4.5 to 5 kilometres east of NWOR-04, confirmed lateral extensions of mineralisation and continuity between Zone 1 and Zone 3 deposits. Assays from NWOR-02 notably included 0.9 metres at 4.17% TiO2, 1.09% ZrO2, and 0.285% TREO, with an enriched basal seam intersected at 242.5 metres.

Drill hole SOR-01, located southeast of the main zones, intersected lower-grade mineralised layers with weak radiometric signatures, suggesting structural complexity and faulting influence on mineral distribution. These geological insights underscore the need for further drilling to delineate the full extent and continuity of mineralisation.

Strategic Positioning for EU Critical Minerals Supply

The Orión project sits within Jaén Province, Andalucía, and covers 228 square kilometres with Osmond controlling an 80% interest. The deposit represents a siliciclastic system with tidal sand bed-type placer mineralisation, hosting significant concentrations of rutile, zircon, hafnium, and rare earths. Osmond aims to fast-track development, targeting a Scoping Study completion in the second half of 2026 to leverage strong EU regulatory support for domestic critical minerals supply.

This drilling success builds on Osmond’s recent progress, including expanded drilling and low capex concentrate production plans, as well as promising zircon and monazite recovery testwork. The company is also advancing downstream processing collaborations to establish vertically integrated rare earth production within the EU, aiming to reduce reliance on imports and bolster strategic supply chains.
