Cadoux Secures Critical Qualification for PremiumHPA®

Emerging critical minerals producer Cadoux Ltd (ASX:CCM) has achieved a significant milestone by qualifying its premiumHPA® high-purity alumina for use in advanced lithium-ion battery architectures. After more than two years of rigorous testing within the European Union-funded SAFELOOP project, the qualification confirms premiumHPA® meets the stringent quality, performance, and safety standards demanded by next-generation electric vehicle (EV) battery applications.

This endorsement not only validates Cadoux’s technology but also cements its role as a founding partner in the SAFELOOP giga-battery development consortium. The project aims to pioneer Gen3 EV lithium-ion batteries with enhanced safety, sustainability, and performance, targeting a 15% increase in cyclability by 2030 and doubling operational lifetime compared to 2019 benchmarks.

SAFELOOP Consortium’s Strategic Industry Composition

The SAFELOOP consortium comprises 15 members, including lithium-ion battery designers, manufacturers, and industrial-scale operators. Notably, the group features a major European battery producer and a leading supplier to the US Department of Defence, alongside participants active in Europe’s heavy-duty electrification markets. This assembly of industry leaders offers Cadoux valuable exposure to end-user requirements and emerging battery technologies, providing a platform to showcase premiumHPA®’s suitability in demanding commercial applications.

Cadoux’s premiumHPA® is integrated across critical battery components, anode, cathode, and separator, highlighting its versatility and importance within the battery architecture. This broad application underscores the material’s potential to enhance battery power, functionality, and safety, aligning with growing demand in EV and static energy storage sectors.
