Phase II Drilling Confirms Gold Continuity at Depth

Kali Metals Limited (ASX:KM1) has announced encouraging initial assay results from its Phase II drilling at the Marble Bar Gold Project, focusing on the Tiger II Prospect. The program, which has now concluded, comprised 4,059 metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling supplemented by 281.7 metres of diamond drilling designed to follow up on promising Phase I intersections.

Significant down dip gold mineralisation was confirmed, extending the previously reported surface-level intercept of 2 metres at 4.1 g/t gold from 17 metres depth. Highlights include multiple intercepts such as 2 metres at 1.6 g/t from 29 metres in holes MBRC079 and MBRC080, 3 metres at 3.6 g/t from 41 metres in MBRC081, and 5 metres at 1.0 g/t from 41 metres in MBRC082. The mineralisation, characterised by quartz veining with potassic alteration and sulphides, remains open at depth, suggesting further potential for expansion.

Strategic Focus on Resource Growth and Exploration

Managing Director Paul Adams emphasised the program’s dual approach of tightening drill spacing across key prospects including Sherman, Churchill, and Tiger, while testing for deeper extensions. He noted that the presence of thicker alteration zones points to the system’s potential to grow at depth, reinforcing the significance of these early results.

While the initial RC assay results provide a solid foundation, Kali Metals is awaiting the remaining RC results alongside those from the diamond drilling component expected in July. Additionally, results from an extensional soil sampling program over newly acquired tenements are anticipated shortly. These efforts are complemented by mapping and rock-chip sampling, supported by high-resolution digital imagery, which were instrumental in defining the Phase II drill targets.

Broader Exploration Pipeline for FY27

Looking ahead to the first quarter of FY27, Kali Metals plans a series of exploration activities aimed at expanding its understanding of the Marble Bar system and other assets. These include interpreting the full suite of drilling results, receiving soil and rock chip data over the Peggy and Florence tenements, and acquiring high-resolution hyperspectral surveys over Marble Bar and DOM’s Hill tenement packages to generate new targets.

The company also intends to release soil sampling results from its Mt Cudgewa project in Victoria and commence a 2026 drilling campaign at the Higginsville Lithium Project, reflecting a diversified exploration strategy across gold and critical minerals.

Technical Rigor and Tenement Security

The drilling program employed industry-standard RC and diamond drilling techniques, with stringent QAQC protocols overseen by Competent Person Mladen Stevanovic. The Marble Bar tenements are fully owned by Kali Metals, with no known impediments to exploration activities. The geological setting features Archean granitic and gneissic batholiths hosting gold mineralisation associated with quartz veining and alteration zones, consistent with previous findings.

Bottom Line?

Kali Metals’ Phase II drilling results reinforce Marble Bar’s down dip gold potential, but the awaited diamond assays and soil sampling will be critical to defining the scale of the system.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will the pending diamond drilling results confirm deeper, higher-grade zones at Tiger II?
  • How will soil sampling over new tenements influence target generation and drilling priorities?
  • Can Kali Metals leverage hyperspectral surveys to unlock additional prospects beyond Marble Bar?
