Dart Mining Confirms Continuous Gold Mineralisation Over 730m Strike at Banshee

Dart Mining’s final assays from a 4,100m drilling campaign at Banshee reveal continuous gold mineralisation along a 730m strike, underpinning plans for a maiden resource estimate and increased project equity.

  • Continuous gold mineralisation confirmed over 730m strike
  • Notable intercepts include 12m at 1.03 g/t Au and 3m at 1.96 g/t Au
  • Silver-antimony mineralisation concentrated near historical workings
  • Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate and metallurgical test-work underway
  • Dart Mining to increase equity to 51% in Coonambula project

Final Drilling Confirms Scale of Banshee Gold System

Dart Mining NL (ASX:DTM) has wrapped up its maiden 4,100m diamond drilling program at the Banshee Prospect within the Coonambula Antimony-Gold Project in Central Queensland, delivering assays that confirm continuous gold mineralisation along a 730-metre strike. The latest batch of results, covering drill holes CBADD023 through CBADD039, includes standout intercepts such as 12 metres at 1.03 g/t gold from 128m in CBADD037 and 3 metres at 1.96 g/t gold from 33m in CBADD032. These findings extend the known mineralisation footprint and reinforce the prospect’s potential scale.

Gold Mineralisation Open Along Strike and at Depth

The drilling program, designed to test both shallow, closely spaced holes along strike and deeper step-outs, has demonstrated that gold mineralisation is consistent across the full 730m of strike drilled to date. Notably, the higher-grade silver and antimony mineralisation remains concentrated in discrete shoot-like zones near historical mine workings, while gold is more uniformly distributed along the strike. This pattern was evident in CBADD037, where a 12m gold intercept sits within a package of altered granodiorite cut by quartz-stibnite veins, highlighting the complex mineralisation style.

Despite visible stibnite in core samples, assay results show relatively low antimony grades (generally below 0.1%), supporting the interpretation that high-grade antimony-silver zones are localised within a broader gold-bearing system. The western extent of drilling, including holes CBADD035 and CBADD036, displayed anomalous silver-only mineralisation in a shallow iron-oxide altered zone, suggesting possible supergene remobilisation and marking this corridor for follow-up exploration.

Advancing Towards Maiden Resource and Equity Increase

With the drilling phase complete and assays finalised, Dart Mining is now focusing on compositing drill core samples for metallurgical test-work and developing a 3D geological model to support a maiden JORC Mineral Resource Estimate. Achieving this milestone will trigger Dart’s equity increase to 51% in the Coonambula project, up from the current 45% following the farm-in agreement with Great Divide Mining (ASX:GDM).

Chairman James Chirnside emphasised the significance of the results: "Having now tested a full 730m of strike, we’re seeing gold mineralisation present from end to end, including our best result from this batch at 12 metres of consistent gold." The company plans to continue exploration and resource development activities, with metallurgical studies underway to better understand ore types and recovery potential.

Historical Context and Regional Potential

The Banshee Prospect is part of a larger 5-kilometre prospective antimony zone that includes historic mines such as Lady Mary and Perseverance, with previous drilling and surface sampling revealing high-grade antimony and gold mineralisation. Dart Mining’s ongoing work builds on these foundations, aiming to delineate extensions and repetitions of mineralisation within the New England Fold Belt geological setting, which hosts similar intrusion-related gold systems elsewhere in Queensland and New South Wales.

Exploration techniques have included detailed geological logging, oriented diamond drilling, and rigorous assay protocols to ensure data quality. The company’s methodical approach and collaboration with Great Divide Mining position Dart to unlock further value from this promising project.

Bottom Line?

Dart Mining’s confirmation of continuous gold mineralisation over 730m strike at Banshee sets the stage for a maiden resource estimate and increased project ownership, but metallurgical results and further drilling will be key to defining economic potential.

Questions in the middle?

  • How will metallurgical test results influence the projected recoveries and resource classification?
  • What is the potential for expanding mineralisation beyond the current 730m strike, particularly towards the western corridor?
  • How might the discrete high-grade antimony-silver shoots impact future mining and processing strategies?
