Munarra Gully Delivers Breakthrough High-Grade Gold Intercept

Rumble Resources (ASX:RTR) has struck a rich vein at its Munarra Gully Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia, returning a spectacular 13 metres at 21.64 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 122 metres depth in hole MGRC26011. This includes an eye-watering 1 metre intercept grading 221 g/t gold, alongside 7 metres at 0.52% copper, marking the highest-grade intercept recorded to date at the project.

The discovery follows a strategic reinterpretation of historical drilling data along the Amaryllis Shear Zone, which revealed significant gaps in previous exploration, particularly where older holes failed to reach fresh rock. By targeting these undertested zones, Rumble’s exploration team has effectively opened a new chapter for Munarra Gully, a prospect that had previously flown under the radar.

Strong Copper-Gold Association Emerges

Beyond MGRC26011, other recent reverse circulation (RC) drill holes have intersected meaningful gold and copper mineralisation. Highlights include 7 metres at 3.86 g/t gold from 65 metres with a high-grade 1 metre section at 26.1 g/t, and 7 metres at 2.15 g/t gold from 132 metres accompanied by 4 metres at 0.62% copper. These results reinforce the potential for a polymetallic system with significant copper credits alongside gold.

The mineralisation is hosted in sericite-altered dacite with quartz-pyrite-chalcopyrite veining, consistent with orogenic gold and copper shear-hosted systems. The Amaryllis Shear Zone remains open along strike and at depth, with mineralised widths typically between 20 and 50 metres and strong continuity indicated down dip.

Next Steps: Diamond Drilling and Resource Definition

Rumble is now planning a diamond drilling program to twin the high-grade RC hole MGRC26011. This will provide critical structural information to better understand the orientation and controls of the bonanza-grade veins. Follow-up RC drilling will aim to delineate the extent of mineralisation along strike and at depth.

With these results in hand, Rumble intends to fast-track the definition of a maiden gold-copper mineral resource at Amaryllis. The project covers a substantial 123 square kilometres across three tenements, with Rumble holding 100% or majority interests. The geology is dominated by Archean volcanic and intrusive rocks of the Meekatharra Formation, hosting shear zone-related gold-copper mineralisation comparable in style to deposits in Canada’s Abitibi Greenstone Belt.

While Rumble’s Western Queen project has been in the spotlight recently for its resource upgrades and development progress, the Munarra Gully results highlight the company’s broader exploration capabilities and pipeline potential. The successful targeting of previously overlooked zones at Amaryllis underscores the value of revisiting legacy data with fresh eyes and modern techniques.
