Fresh High-Grade Intercepts Extend Tallebung's Reach

Sky Metals Limited (ASX:SKY) has revealed new shallow, wide, and high-grade tin-tungsten-silver drill results from its 100%-owned Tallebung Project in New South Wales. These latest intercepts, received after the cut-off for the recent Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) update, underscore the deposit’s considerable potential to grow beyond the current resource boundaries.

Notable results include hole TBRC471 returning 29 metres at 0.31% tin and 0.04% tungsten from 27 metres, highlighted by a 2-metre interval grading 1.62% tin, 0.08% tungsten, and 47.8 grams per tonne silver. Similarly, TBRC468 delivered a standout 1 metre at 4.32% tungsten and 0.08% tin from 66 metres, alongside a 3-metre interval carrying 1.16% tin, 0.15% tungsten, and 10.6 grams per tonne silver. These intercepts add fresh layers of high-grade mineralisation outside the recently updated resource model.

Resource Growth Potential Reinforced by Post-MRE Drilling

These new intercepts complement previously announced post-MRE drilling results such as TBRC427’s 9 metres at 0.54% tin, 0.11% tungsten, and 205 grams per tonne silver, and TBRC436’s 14 metres at 0.58% tin. Collectively, these findings confirm that the MRE update, while significant, does not capture the full extent of the mineralised system.

Sky Metals’ Managing Director Oliver Davies emphasised that the deposit remains open in several directions, with all recent drilling occurring outside the current resource footprint. He highlighted the opportunity to expand both the scale and quality of the deposit as the company moves toward completing the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) later this month.

The discovery of additional shallow mineralised zones is particularly encouraging for development scenarios under assessment in the PFS. Near-surface mineralisation not only adds to the overall resource inventory but could also enhance mine scheduling flexibility and improve project economics. The drilling program employs reverse circulation (RC) methods with rigorous sampling and assay protocols consistent with industry standards and JORC reporting guidelines. Assays for tin and tungsten were conducted using lithium borate fusion XRF techniques, with multi-element analysis performed via ICPMS. Quality control measures include regular insertion of certified reference materials and blanks to ensure assay accuracy and precision.

Drill hole collars were surveyed with DGPS for high positional accuracy, and geological logging captures detailed lithological and structural information to support resource estimation. The orientation of drilling is designed to intersect mineralisation at near-perpendicular angles, allowing reliable estimation of true widths.
