Flotation Circuit Commissioned at Tecomatlán Processing Plant

EV Resources (ASX:EVR) has hit a significant milestone by commissioning and dry testing the flotation circuit at its Tecomatlán Processing Plant in Puebla, Mexico. This circuit is the final stage in EVR’s processing flowsheet and is critical for producing a marketable antimony concentrate from ore sourced primarily from the Los Lirios and Chinantla projects. The successful commissioning confirms the flotation cells are operating as designed and ready for the next phase of testing.

Next Step: Processing Bulk Ore Sample

The company will soon process a 200-tonne bulk sample from the Chinantla Antimony Project through the crushing, grinding, and flotation circuits. This operational Proof of Concept campaign is designed to validate the plant’s performance under real operating conditions, optimize parameters, and produce EVR’s first saleable antimony concentrate. The results will provide essential engineering, metallurgical, and operational data to support the transition to full commercial production.

Building on Strong Metallurgical Foundations

This progress follows metallurgical test work announced in June 2026, which demonstrated an antimony recovery rate of approximately 81.1% using flotation methods. Those tests also produced a commercial-grade concentrate, confirming flotation as the preferred processing route. Leveraging existing infrastructure at Tecomatlán, EVR aims to maintain a low-capex pathway to near-term production, a strategy that could accelerate cash flow and reduce development risk.

Strategic Importance of Antimony Production

Antimony is a critical mineral with growing demand, particularly in Western supply chains. EVR’s staged development approach, centred on refurbishing and commissioning the Tecomatlán plant, positions the company to become a near-term producer. The Los Lirios project, located about 50km from Tecomatlán, remains EVR’s flagship asset, with ongoing exploration targeting a maiden JORC Mineral Resource. Meanwhile, the company’s US projects in Nevada aim to tap into domestic antimony supply amid strategic initiatives.
