Manhattan Gold Corporation (ASX:MHC) has accelerated its Hook Lake Project ambitions with the discovery of high-grade gold mineralisation at the newly acquired Vanquish prospect in Nunavut, Canada. First-pass channel and grab sampling returned standout assays including a grab sample grading 20.0 g/t Au and channel samples hitting 18.55 g/t Au over 0.3 metres and 15.45 g/t Au over 0.4 metres. These results confirm gold mineralisation over at least 131 metres of strike, marking Vanquish as a significant new exploration front that had never before been drill tested.

The Vanquish claims were staked in April 2026 after archival data revealed the largest gold-arsenic till anomaly in the Kaminak Greenstone Belt. Manhattan’s rapid field program, conducted alongside mobilisation of its RC drill rig at the nearby flagship Jaws target, demonstrates the company's capacity to advance multiple projects concurrently. This newly identified zone substantially broadens the Hook Lake exploration pipeline and underscores the district-scale potential of the project.

Strategic Integration of Geophysical Data to Guide Drilling

Manhattan is integrating high-resolution magnetic and LiDAR datasets with the recent assay results to refine structural controls and prioritise maiden drill targets at Vanquish. This approach aims to sharpen the geological model ahead of drilling, which remains pending at Vanquish but is already underway at Jaws. The company expects initial assay results from the Jaws RC drill program in the coming weeks, which will further inform exploration strategies across the project.

Vanquish’s main mineralised zone features a north-south trending, steeply dipping shear zone with quartz veining and sulphide-bearing mafic volcanic rocks. Sampling included 11 channel cuts and nine grab samples, with gold grades varying from low-level background values to high-grade intercepts. A secondary southwest zone, located 179 metres from the main zone, returned lower grades but may represent an extension of the mineralised shear system.

Hook Lake Project Positioned in a Proven Gold District

The Hook Lake Project covers 665 square kilometres within the Rankin-Ennadai greenstone belt, a prolific gold province that hosts Agnico Eagle’s Meliadine mine and BG Gold’s Vickers deposit. Manhattan’s portfolio includes 26 mineral claims and three Mineral Exploration Agreements, secured with Inuit and First Nations partners, ensuring tenure security and community collaboration.

The project’s most advanced target, Jaws, hosts a historical non-JORC compliant resource estimate of approximately 285,000 ounces at 2.38 g/t Au. While this estimate requires verification through ongoing drilling, it provides a valuable context for the scale of mineralisation in the district. Manhattan’s systematic exploration strategy combines modern geophysics, geochemistry, and drilling to unlock value across multiple targets including Vanquish, Jaws, Spectre, and others.

Execution and Outlook

Technical Advisor Eric Sondergaard highlighted the significance of the Vanquish results, noting that only a small portion of the claims has been sampled to date. The company’s ability to execute sampling programs safely and efficiently while drilling elsewhere at Hook Lake reflects a disciplined approach to maximising the current field season.
