Magmatic Resources (ASX:MAG) has delivered a robust set of exploration results from its recent Phase 3 drilling campaign at the Weebo Project in Western Australia. The program, comprising 10 reverse circulation (RC) holes totaling 2,112m and 90 air core (AC) holes for 4,479m, has confirmed multiple gold-bearing lodes beneath Permian sediment cover at key prospects Otto 2 and Ockerburry 3.

Highlight intercepts include 6m at 1.96 g/t Au from 137m and 3m at 3.67 g/t Au at Otto 2, as well as 8m at 1.52 g/t Au from 144m at Ockerburry 3. The standout result came from the Scone Stone prospect, where a 1m interval graded a striking 13.9 g/t Au within a broader 6m intercept averaging 3.4 g/t Au. These findings validate the presence of bedrock mineralisation and reinforce Weebo’s exploration appeal.

Regional Scale Structures Defined by Air Core Drilling

Beyond RC drilling, the AC program has successfully delineated extensive gold-bearing structures at the West Gold and Wheel of Fortune prospects. Each site hosts multiple gold anomalies extending over more than 700m strike length, with a combined potential strike of over 2,100m at West Gold alone. Although gold grades from AC drilling are modest, ranging from 0.1 to 0.65 g/t Au, the spatial continuity and geological context suggest promising targets for follow-up testing at depth.

Magmatic’s Managing Director David Richardson emphasised the significance of these results, noting that the AC drilling has defined “regional scale supergene gold anomalism that have not been systematically tested for extensions and gold tenor at depth.” The company plans a detailed geochemical and aeromagnetic study to refine drill targets ahead of the next campaign.

The Weebo Project covers 270 square kilometres in the Norseman-Wiluna Greenstone Belt, strategically sandwiched between five multi-million-ounce gold mines operated by industry heavyweights such as Northern Star Resources and Gold Fields. The geological setting comprises a complex sequence of Archaean greenstones, ultramafic schists, and felsic intrusives, classic hosts for shear and vein-style gold mineralisation.

Recent drilling has confirmed mineralisation hosted in sheared ultramafic schists with quartz-pyrite veins at Otto 2, and smoky quartz-arsenopyrite veins within felsic schists at Ockerburry. These lithologies and structural controls mirror those of nearby major deposits, adding weight to the prospectivity of Magmatic’s tenure.

Magmatic plans to resume drilling at Weebo in September-October 2026, starting with the Otto 2 prospect to expand on the shallow, contiguous lodes identified. The company acknowledges that true widths of mineralised intercepts remain uncertain and that further drilling is needed to test lateral and depth extensions comprehensively.
