This follows a comprehensive integration of high-resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys, advanced hyperspectral alteration mapping, reconnaissance geology, and surface geochemistry. The datasets collectively reveal a broad intrusive-related hydrothermal system beneath the property, positioning Cinnamon as a compelling early-stage tungsten exploration play.

Among the targets, Ophir stands out as a near-surface, high-temperature system marked by intense epidote-chlorite alteration, a prominent iron-oxide footprint, and the discovery of a previously unmapped quartz monzonite intrusion. This target’s proximity to the interpreted hydrothermal centre and its alteration signatures provide a tangible vector for potential mineralisation, making it the immediate focus for detailed prospecting and sampling.

Strategic Neighbour to Guardian’s Pilot Mountain Project

Cinnamon’s location immediately west of Guardian Metal Resources’ Pilot Mountain Tungsten Project adds strategic weight to Nelson’s exploration efforts. Pilot Mountain is one of the most advanced undeveloped tungsten projects in the United States, boasting Probable Reserves of 11.8 million tonnes grading 0.171% WO3, equating to over 20,000 tonnes of contained tungsten metal. The proximity to deposits such as Desert Scheelite and Garnet, known for their skarn-hosted tungsten and silver mineralisation, frames Cinnamon within a proven tungsten district and underlines the potential scale of Nelson’s ground.

The US Department of Defense’s recent funding of Pilot Mountain underscores the critical strategic importance of domestic tungsten supply. With tungsten prices strengthening globally; European APT prices recently quoted between US$2,800 and US$3,320 per metric tonne unit; Nelson’s Cinnamon Property is well placed to benefit from the rising demand for secure critical minerals in the US.

Integrated Surveys Reveal Hydrothermal Architecture

Nelson’s high-resolution helicopter-borne geophysical survey, conducted by Precision GeoSurveys, delivered 386 line-kilometres of data that refined the magnetic and radiometric signatures across Cinnamon. Key features include a strong magnetic anomaly extending from the adjacent Gun Metal deposit and a broader magnetic high underlying the property’s centre. Radiometric data highlighted potassium and uranium anomalies indicative of hydrothermal alteration and fluid migration pathways.

Complementing this, hyperspectral analysis using NASA’s AVIRIS-5 dataset and Photosat’s deep-learning alteration mapping identified iron-oxide, epidote-chlorite, and clay alteration footprints at 5-metre resolution. These alteration zones correlate with favourable limestone host rocks and interpreted intrusive trends, delineating fluid conduits and vertical chimney structures typical of intrusive-related tungsten skarn systems.

Next Steps: Field Validation and Geochemical Vectoring

Nelson plans immediate field validation, prioritising Ophir with detailed prospecting, geological mapping, and systematic rock chip sampling. Levant, Malabar, and Serica will undergo structural mapping and trace-element geochemical sampling to identify fluid conduits and vector toward potential concealed mineralisation. Seven reconnaissance rock samples collected to date have provided initial geochemical context, including elevated arsenic and yttrium anomalies at Levant, supporting the interpretation of fluid pathways from a deeper magmatic source.

With an initial exploration program funded from existing cash reserves, Nelson expects the new geophysical and geochemical data to materially improve understanding of the Cinnamon corridor and guide the next phase of exploration. While no drilling results or mineral resource estimates have been reported yet, this integrated approach lays a solid foundation for advancing the project in a district of growing strategic importance.
