Manyingee North Deposit Surges with Expanded Strike and High-Grade Hits

Cauldron Energy Limited (ASX:CXU) has kicked off its 2026 air-core drilling campaign at the Yanrey Uranium Project with a bang, extending the known strike length of the Manyingee North uranium deposit from a modest ~670 metres to more than 4 kilometres. This leap represents a near quadrupling of the deposit’s footprint, with mineralisation remaining open-ended to both the north and south.

Early results from the first 14 drill holes, including 8 focused on Manyingee North, reveal consistent uranium mineralisation above cut-off grade in every hole. High-grade zones, particularly a 300-400 metre wide elongated core within the palaeochannel, have been pushed 800 metres further north and 550 metres south onto the newly acquired E08/2896 tenement, despite heritage clearance constraints limiting drilling to disturbed margin areas so far.

Significant Uranium Grades Confirm Broad and Consistent Mineralisation

The standout drill intersections include multiple intervals exceeding 200 ppm eU3O8, with some hits surpassing 600 ppm, such as 1.74 metres at 644.9 ppm from 91.58 metres in drill hole 26YRAC014, and 0.96 metres at 646.9 ppm from 98.04 metres in 26YRAC009. These grades underpin the deposit’s robust uranium endowment and support the interpretation of a broad mineralised sheet with potential roll-front characteristics.

Importantly, the mineralisation occurs at a consistent stratigraphic horizon associated with the 'C rollfront' within the Ashburton Member sediments, typically below 90 metres depth. The deposit’s geology suggests a marine-influenced palaeochannel setting with reduced sediments hosting uranium mineralisation distal to the main redox front seen at the nearby Paladin Manyingee deposit.

Cosgrove Prospect Emerges as Another Uranium Target

Beyond Manyingee North, Cauldron’s drilling at the Cosgrove Prospect has extended uranium mineralisation over a 1.2-kilometre width, with mineralisation intersected in three of five holes drilled to date. The prospect, discovered late last year, is now earmarked for further drilling pending heritage clearances, aiming to delineate a potential resource.

Yanrey Project’s Scale and Potential Reinforced Amid Positive Uranium Market Dynamics

The Yanrey Uranium Project, covering approximately 1,493 square kilometres and stretching over 80 kilometres of Cretaceous palaeochannels, hosts more than 55 million pounds of uranium oxide across three deposits: Bennet Well (30.9 Mlbs), Manyingee South (14.9 Mlbs), and Manyingee North (9.8 Mlbs). The recent drilling results reinforce the project’s status as a prolific uranium province with multiple targets yet to be fully tested.

CEO Jonathan Fisher highlighted the strategic timing of the drilling campaign amid favourable global uranium market themes and advancing Australia-India uranium agreements. He noted that while initial drilling was delayed by weather and technical issues, the program is now progressing well, with a focus on expanding the high-grade mineralisation footprint and targeting new areas once heritage clearances are secured.

Further drilling is planned not only at Manyingee North to delineate high-grade zones within the expanded strike but also at Manyingee South, Cosgrove, and the newly identified Bennet Well West target. Passive seismic surveys continue to refine palaeochannel definitions, guiding ongoing exploration efforts.
