Maiden Drilling Targets Exceptional Surface Grades at Blue Dick

Mammoth Minerals (ASX:M79) has commenced its first-ever reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the Blue Dick Prospect within its Excelsior Springs Project in Nevada. This maiden program is designed to test extensions of spectacular surface mineralisation where recent channel and rock chip samples have returned bonanza-grade silver assays up to 17,582g/t alongside significant gold, copper, and antimony.

The Blue Dick area hosts over 6.5 kilometres of mapped strike with multiple high-grade silver and gold trends that have never before been drill tested or explored using modern techniques. Surface sampling has revealed extraordinary values such as 0.20m at 17,582g/t silver, 0.75g/t gold, and 2.76% copper, as well as rock chips grading 15,336g/t silver and 7.46g/t gold, underscoring the prospect’s potential for a substantial mineral system.

Expanding Targets Along Buster and Imperial Trends

Beyond Blue Dick, the drilling campaign will also focus on untested gold zones along the Buster Trend. These targets are defined by deep feeder fault structures identified through geophysical surveys, extending over 700 metres along strike from historical workings at the Buster Gold Mine. The company expects these structures to have facilitated mineralised fluid flow into limestone host rocks, a key setting for gold deposition.

Near-mine gold targets at the historical Imperial Gold Mine will also be tested. Previous drilling intercepted intervals such as 28.96m at 2.23g/t gold and 13.72m at 4.74g/t gold, highlighting the potential for further high-grade gold mineralisation. In addition, recent sampling around Imperial has identified high-grade silver zones with assays exceeding 1,600g/t silver and significant lead and antimony values.

Railroad Springs Emerges as New Drill Target

The Railroad Springs area, situated northwest of the main claims, has been elevated to a walk-up drill target following consistent high-grade silver and gold surface results. Sampling here has returned silver grades over 1,600g/t with accompanying base metals such as lead and zinc, suggesting a robust mineralised system that has not yet been subjected to modern exploration or drilling.

Project Positioned Near Tonopah West Silver Project

Mammoth Minerals highlights that Blue Dick and Railroad Springs bear similarities in scale and grade to the Tonopah West Silver Project, which hosts an 8.29 million tonne resource at 462g/t silver equivalent and is currently under development. Unlike Tonopah West, mineralisation at Blue Dick is exposed at surface, potentially simplifying future development.

Outlook and Next Steps

Managing Director Glenn Poole emphasised the excitement around the pipeline of walk-up drill targets and the potential to unlock significant value from the more than 6.5km of prospective strike at Blue Dick. The drilling program aims to extend mineralisation both along strike and down-dip, with assay results expected to flow steadily through the quarter. A maiden Mineral Resource Estimate for the Buster Trend is also anticipated later this quarter, marking a key milestone for the project’s advancement.
