Aurum Resources (ASX:AUE) has delivered a decisive set of drill results from the last tranche of its 100,000m diamond drilling program at the BDT2 deposit within the Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire. The 10 new holes, totalling 3,565m, have intersected gold mineralisation beyond the current mineral resource boundaries and at depth, confirming the deposit remains open and ripe for expansion.
Standout intercepts include a blistering 0.61m at 47.6 g/t gold from 189m, alongside broader zones such as 39m at 0.79 g/t from 372m and 4.46m at 4.23 g/t from 90m, highlighting both high-grade shoots and substantial mineralised widths. These results will feed directly into Aurum’s next major resource update, slated for the end of Q3 2026.
Aggressive Drilling Campaign Accelerates Resource Growth
With 16 Aurum-owned diamond rigs now operating across Boundiali and the Napié Gold Project, the company is executing one of the most aggressive drilling schedules in the West African gold belt. Aurum plans to drill 130,000m in total during 2026, with 100,000m focused on Boundiali and 30,000m on Napié, aiming to grow resources and improve confidence.

Aurum is advancing Boundiali towards development with a Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) expected late in 2026, building on environmental approvals received in May and the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) and maiden Ore Reserves delivered in June. The company reported a strong cash position of $54.7 million as of 30 June 2026, supporting parallel progress on drilling, studies, and permitting.
The Boundiali project, hosting 3.22 million ounces of gold resources, sits within a prolific greenstone belt alongside major mines such as Resolute’s Syama and Montage Gold’s Koné. Additionally, Aurum is advancing early-stage exploration through its Encore Joint Venture and Major Star Plus partnership projects, aiming to generate new targets and expand its regional footprint.
