Significant Gold Intersections Extend Christmas Gift Prospect

Tarrina Resources (ASX:TR8) has confirmed gold mineralisation over more than 1,050 metres of strike at its Christmas Gift project in New South Wales, a fivefold increase over the historically mined 200 metres. The latest phase 1 diamond drilling results include multiple high-grade intercepts beneath the historic mine, notably 14.5 metres at 2.23 g/t Au and 16.4 metres at 2.06 g/t Au from CGDH001, and a standout 0.5 metres at 42.26 g/t Au from CGDH002, underscoring the presence of exceptionally high-grade reef structures.

The drilling program successfully validated historic drilling data with modern techniques, confirming the potential for an extensive orogenic gold system extending to depths of at least 200 metres and remaining open below historic workings. However, narrower intersections outside the mine area suggest the main structural controls for high-grade mineralisation remain untested, highlighting prime targets for follow-up exploration.

Soil Sampling Broadens Exploration Footprint

This expanded footprint, combined with zinc and copper anomalies, points to multiple mineralisation styles and supports plans for targeted air core and reverse circulation drilling to test these new and existing targets along strike and at depth.

Walparuta Project Reveals Untapped IOCG Potential

In South Australia, Tarrina completed the first modern induced polarisation (IP) geophysical survey at its Walparuta copper-gold project, identifying five strong, laterally continuous chargeability anomalies over a 700-metre corridor. These anomalies coincide with existing magnetic and gravity data, forming a robust three-way geophysical signature typical of iron-oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) systems.

The largest chargeability anomaly, located 200-400 metres southeast of the historic Walparuta mine and starting at just 70 metres depth, remains untested by drilling. Historic drill results of 36.6 metres at 0.37% Cu and 0.27 g/t Au align with one of the IP anomalies, validating the geophysical model and confirming the potential for significant IOCG mineralisation.

Concurrent geological mapping and rock sampling have been undertaken to refine the geological interpretation and support drill targeting. The company plans to extend IP and soil sampling coverage along the 5-kilometre magnetic-gravity corridor, with results anticipated in August, paving the way for prioritized drill testing.

Tarrina Resources maintains a cash balance of $2.2 million following $330,000 in exploration expenditure during the quarter. The company issued 50 million unlisted options exercisable at $0.05 as part consideration to an external consultant, while 20 million options expired post-quarter. Looking ahead, Tarrina plans to integrate drilling, soil sampling, and geophysical data into updated 3D geological models to optimise drill targeting at both Christmas Gift and Walparuta.
