The survey delineated a series of magnetic-low corridors, including the known mineralised Mountain Home Gossan, and several previously unrecognised zones with similar geophysical signatures that now stand out as high-priority targets for follow-up work.

These magnetic lows are significant because they may indicate hydrothermal destruction of magnetite, a process often associated with copper-gold-bismuth mineralisation. The newly identified structural features surround the established Gossan and extend across the project area, offering a pipeline of exploration targets that have not been systematically tested before.

Government Support and Survey Details

The airborne survey, covering approximately 1,594 line kilometres with 400-metre line spacing, was conducted by Xcalibur using advanced FALCON Airborne Gravity Gradiometer technology. The program was co-funded under the Northern Territory Government’s Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations (GDC) initiative, with E79 Gold receiving $150,000 in cost repayments. This support underscores the government’s commitment to unlocking mineral potential in the McArthur Basin, a region known for its rich base and precious metals endowment.

CEO Ned Summerhayes emphasised the value of being first to access new datasets, noting that the survey has highlighted multiple large-scale structural features that had previously gone unnoticed. He remarked that the magnetic dataset clearly delineates these features and that ongoing interpretation of both gravity and magnetic data will refine the understanding of mineralisation controls.

Advancing Drilling Preparations at Cue Gold Project

Meanwhile, at the Cue Gold Project in Western Australia, E79 Gold is advancing towards its initial drilling campaign. Heritage agreements have been finalised and are awaiting signatures, after which heritage clearances will be sought to enable an initial 10,000-metre drilling program. This follows recent high-resolution gravity surveys that have defined multiple drill targets at Cue, setting the stage for what could be a significant exploration push in the Murchison Gold Province.

The Cue Gold Project, acquired through a 90% stake in Cue Metals Pty Ltd, is strategically located near Westgold’s Great Fingall Gold Mine and is part of E79 Gold’s broader portfolio covering approximately 2,403 square kilometres of highly prospective ground across the McArthur Basin and Yilgarn Craton.

Geological Setting and Exploration Outlook

The Mountain Home Project spans 1,366 square kilometres within the McArthur Basin, a geological setting known for SEDEX-style mineralisation as well as ironstone-hosted copper-gold-bismuth deposits akin to Tennant Creek. Rock chip assays from the Mountain Home Gossan have previously returned impressive grades up to 45.5% copper, 11.75 grams per tonne gold, and 9.09% bismuth, underscoring the prospectivity of the area.

Notably, a magnetic low feature located 20 kilometres east of the Gossan correlates with historical copper mineralisation, where rock chip samples showed up to 1.17% copper. Gravity data from the survey also suggests mineralisation occurs on the flanks of gravity highs within these magnetic lows, providing further structural targets for exploration.

With full interpretation of the geophysical datasets still underway, E79 Gold is positioned to refine its drilling targets and expand its exploration footprint in the Northern Territory.
