Maiden Geophysical Survey Sets Stage for Drilling

Lux Copper Corp. Ltd (ASX:LUX) has marked a significant milestone in its Alaska exploration push by completing its first-ever geophysical survey over the Baird Copper Project. The 2,607 line-kilometre aerial campaign combined magnetics, radiometrics, and Very Low Frequency-Electromagnetics (VLF-EM) to provide a foundational dataset that will underpin drill targeting and regional exploration efforts.

This survey is the first of its kind at Baird, a high-grade copper-zinc opportunity nestled in the Western Brooks Range, a polymetallic belt known for complex geology and substantial mineralisation potential. Final processing and the survey report are expected within three to four weeks, promising fresh insights into the litho-structural controls of mineralisation across the project area.

Drill Mobilisation and Infrastructure Secured

Concurrent with the survey completion, Lux is mobilising two diamond drill rigs from Alloy Drilling, LLC, gearing up for a maiden drilling program targeting approximately 5,000 metres starting mid-August 2026. Company personnel, led by Director Simon Dahrouge, have conducted a site inspection and initiated camp preparations.

Notably, Lux has secured use of an existing exploration camp for the 2026-2027 field seasons, a strategic move that reduces mobilisation time and logistical complexity. The company is working closely with First Nations stakeholders to ensure responsible and efficient operations, reflecting a growing social licence to operate in the region.

Broader Exploration Ambitions in Alaska

Beyond Baird, Lux holds the Ambler Project, a district-scale landholding adjacent to world-class deposits such as Trilogy Metals' Arctic and Bornite VMS deposits. The Ambler tenure benefits from proximity to the proposed Ambler Access Road, a major infrastructure project approved by the U.S. Government in October 2025 and currently in pre-construction and financing phases.

Despite its strategic location, the Ambler Project remains effectively unexplored, with historical efforts limited to regional mapping and geochemical sampling. Lux plans to conduct systematic exploration across its Alaskan portfolio, including further geophysical surveys such as LiDAR and Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic (VTEM) surveys scheduled for August and September. These will complement the initial survey data and assist in refining drill targets.

From IPO to Exploration Momentum

The maiden geophysical survey and imminent drilling campaign come on the heels of Lux's successful $15 million capital raise and ASX listing earlier this year. This momentum builds on the company's initial groundwork, including acquisitions and leadership appointments made since incorporation in 2024, positioning Lux to unlock value through the drill bit in a highly prospective region.
