Talonx Resources Unveils High-Grade Gold Hits at Viking’s Beaker 2 Prospect

Outstanding High-Grade Gold Intercept at Beaker 2

Talonx Resources (ASX:TXR) has delivered a standout result from its Viking Gold Project with drillhole 26VKRC010 returning 4 metres at 22.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 31 metres, including a blistering 2 metres at 42.4g/t from 32 metres. This high-grade shoot sits within a broader shallow oxide gold system at the Beaker 2 prospect, confirming the presence of very rich mineralisation in the weathered granite host rock.

The mineralisation is closely associated with strong quartz veining within sheared granite, a hallmark of orogenic gold systems, and remains open along strike to the west, north, and south. Talonx plans immediate follow-up reverse circulation (RC) drilling to test the continuity of this quartz-vein-hosted mineralisation, including deeper targets beneath the oxide zone to assess fresh rock extensions.

Shallow Oxide Gold Zone Shows Strong Continuity

The recent 13-hole, 1,110-metre RC program at Beaker 2 has confirmed a broadly sub-horizontal shallow oxide gold zone extending approximately 400 metres by 300 metres. All ten holes at Beaker 2 returned gold mineralisation at shallow depths between 20 and 40 metres, underscoring the potential for a substantial near-surface gold resource.

Executive Chairman Dr Steve Lennon highlighted the significance of these results, stating the high-grade shoots within the oxide system could underpin a valuable deposit. The company intends to assess the mineral resource potential of Beaker 2 following the upcoming drilling campaign, aiming to define an initial resource estimate.

Exploration Progress at Beaker 4 and Blair North

Alongside Beaker 2, Talonx is advancing exploration at the Beaker 4 prospect, where drilling has traced a north-plunging gold shoot over 80 metres of strike and 130 metres down dip, with mineralisation remaining open at depth. Infill and step-out drilling are planned to better delineate this target.

Meanwhile, at the Blair North Gold Project near Kalgoorlie, results from 1-metre resampling of RC composite samples have revealed anomalous gold mineralisation, including intercepts such as 1 metre at 1.3g/t and 6 metres at 1.1g/t gold. Talonx is designing further drilling to test extensions of mineralised zones at the Commodore North prospect, indicating ongoing exploration momentum across its portfolio.

Technical Rigor Underpins Confidence

The drilling and assay work underpinning these results employed industry-standard reverse circulation methods with 1-metre sampling intervals and PhotonAssay™ analysis, which is effective in reducing sampling bias associated with coarse gold. Geological logging and sample security protocols meet the Australasian Code for Reporting Exploration Results (JORC 2012), with all data verified by the company’s Competent Person, Gregor Bennett.

While true widths of mineralisation are yet to be fully constrained, Talonx interprets them to be approximately 60–90% of reported downhole intervals, consistent with the drill orientation designed to intersect mineralised structures near-perpendicularly.
