WA1 Resources Ltd (ASX:WA1) has reported a fresh batch of impressive niobium drill results from the eastern zone of its Luni Niobium Project in Western Australia. The latest infill drilling campaign continues to deliver thick, high-grade intersections, with standout assays including 21.4 metres grading 7.4% Nb2O5 and multiple other intercepts exceeding 3% Nb2O5 over substantial widths. The drilling, conducted on a roughly 50m by 50m grid, is designed to upgrade resource confidence from Indicated to Measured status in this eastern zone. Since discovery, WA1 has completed around 90,000 metres of drilling at Luni, with the current program focused on collecting samples for both resource definition and metallurgical testwork. The recent infill results confirm the continuity of sub-horizontal, oxide-enriched mineralisation within a weathered carbonatite zone, which is amenable to beneficiation processes already showing promising outcomes.
Infrastructure Milestone Enhances Site Logistics
In a boost to operational efficiency, WA1 has commissioned a new airstrip at Luni, enabling regular direct flights to the remote site. This infrastructure development is expected to improve safety and logistics, facilitating personnel movement and supporting ongoing exploration and pre-development activities. The company has also engaged Traditional Owners through work experience programs during the airstrip’s construction, indicating a commitment to collaborative community relations.
