Xpedra Extends High-Grade Gold Mineralisation at Springfield with Depth Potential

Xpedra Resources has confirmed broad, high-grade gold zones extending at depth and along strike at its Springfield Gold Deposit in NSW, following its maiden 27-hole drilling program.

Maiden Drilling Confirms Robust Gold System

Xpedra Resources (ASX:XPD) has received assay results from its maiden 27-hole reverse circulation drilling program at the Springfield Gold Deposit in New South Wales, confirming a broad, shallow gold system with multiple high-grade zones extending over more than 400 metres of strike. The latest assays include a standout 22 metres at 2.62 grams per tonne gold from 120 metres depth, featuring higher-grade intervals of 5 metres at 4.60g/t and 5 metres at 4.45g/t from the same hole (SFRC026).

This reinforces previous high-grade intersections such as 94 metres at 2.00g/t gold including a thick 13-metre zone grading 10.21g/t from 81 metres (SFRC025), which had already underpinned the deposit's growing scale and depth potential.

Depth Extensions and Open Mineralisation

The recent drilling targeted down-dip extensions and successfully intersected broad mineralisation in all four deeper step-out holes, suggesting the system remains open at depth. Xpedra’s Managing Director Scott Funston highlighted that mineralisation appears to be improving with depth and is completely open, with the deposit hosting a very robust gold system that includes multiple higher-grade zones.

The company awaits assays from a recently completed second-phase program of four deeper holes designed to further evaluate these down-dip extensions. Once received, a third-phase, more extensive drilling campaign will test both strike and depth extensions, including the northern 1.1-kilometre strike of the mineralised intrusion, which remains untested by drilling but shows strong gold and arsenic anomalies in historical shallow sampling.

Encouraging Historical Data Supports Expansion

Historical aircore drilling to the north of the current drilled strike length identified arsenic anomalies and shallow gold mineralisation, with some holes ending in mineralisation, suggesting potential for continuation beneath. These findings provide a compelling basis for the upcoming drilling to explore the largely untested northern extension of the 1.7-kilometre mineralised monzodiorite intrusion.

Xpedra’s maiden drilling program, completed earlier this year, was designed to systematically test known gold zones and new targets within the intrusion. It has already delivered multiple significant intercepts, including 44 metres at 2.03g/t and 24 metres at 2.97g/t gold from surface, with higher-grade zones within these broad intervals.

Well-Funded for Aggressive Follow-Up

With $3.1 million in cash at the end of the June quarter, Xpedra is well positioned to advance its exploration activities at Springfield. The company plans to finalise its follow-up drilling program once assays from the recent deeper holes are received, aiming to expand the known mineralised footprint and test for further repetitions and extensions of mineralisation.

The Springfield Deposit, acquired by Xpedra in late 2025, had seen limited historical drilling prior to this year, with no drilling since 1999. The recent results mark a significant step forward in understanding the deposit's scale and grade distribution, laying a solid foundation for resource definition and potential development.
