Capital Raise Fuels Exploration Surge at Kada

Asara Resources Limited (ASX:AS1) has bolstered its war chest with a A$60 million placement priced at $0.125 per share, aimed squarely at accelerating exploration at its flagship Kada Gold Project in Guinea. The raise, completed in two tranches by early July 2026, underpins an intensified drilling program, resource development, and technical studies designed to unlock the project’s full potential.

Drilling Campaign Extends High-Grade Gold Mineralisation

During the quarter ended 30 June 2026, Asara completed 259 drill holes totalling 33,593 metres at the Massan Deposit within Kada, extending mineralisation over a 3.5-kilometre strike. The program confirmed continuity of high-grade zones, particularly in the northeast extension, with standout intercepts including 82 metres at 2.2 g/t gold and a remarkable 1 metre at 155.4 g/t gold. Deeper drilling beyond 250 metres vertical depth further validated mineralisation continuity, while new southern fence line drilling in previously underexplored areas yielded promising results, including multiple 1-metre intervals exceeding 130 g/t gold.

At quarter end, five rigs remained operational, with drilling continuing into early fiscal 2027 ahead of an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). These results reinforce the company’s strategy to grow and upgrade its resource base, supporting the project’s advancement towards a Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS).

Leadership Team Strengthened Amid Growth Drive

Asara’s management team has been significantly bolstered with the appointment of Jeff Quartermaine as Non-Executive Chairman, Matthew Sharples elevated from CEO to Managing Director, and Aurelien Douyere joining as Chief Financial Officer. These strategic hires bring extensive mining sector and financial expertise, particularly focused on Africa, aligning with Asara’s ambitions to accelerate exploration and expand its footprint in Guinea.

Regional Exploration and Community Engagement Continue

Beyond Massan, Asara progressed regional exploration across the broader Kada Project, including geological mapping and grab sampling at priority targets. The company also maintained proactive community engagement, employing local personnel and sponsoring cultural events such as the Nounkounkan Pond Fishing Ceremony and a community football tournament, fostering strong local relationships essential for sustainable operations.

Corporate and Financial Position

Asara ended the quarter with a strong cash balance of A$59.753 million, supported by the recent placement proceeds. Exploration expenditure for the period was A$10.653 million, reflecting the ramp-up in drilling and technical work. The company continues to progress the acquisition of Arafura Ouest PTE Ltd, owner of the Damissa Koura and Kankan West Projects in Guinea, although this remains subject to finalisation.

Bottom Line?

Asara Resources is poised to leverage its strengthened balance sheet and leadership team to convert promising drilling results into a resource upgrade, with a critical MRE update expected soon.
