Maiden Drilling Completes at Mt Garnet Amid Promising Geophysics

Koba Resources (ASX:KOB) wrapped up its inaugural drill campaign at the Stannex and Gilmore prospects within the Mt Garnet Tin-Tungsten Project in late July, completing 24 holes for a total of 2,937 metres. This maiden program targeted a substantial 2km by 0.5km tin-in-soil anomaly that aligns with robust Induced Polarisation (IP) chargeability anomalies and rock chip samples grading up to 21.3% tin. While assay results remain pending, the combination of geophysical and geochemical data has sharpened confidence in the scale and tenor of mineralisation at Stannex.

The IP survey, a first at Mt Garnet employing the Bipole-Dipole technique, delineated strong chargeability anomalies with significant lateral continuity and depth, in some areas extending beyond 250 metres. These anomalies correlate closely with high-grade rock chips and tin-in-soil geochemical highs, reinforcing the prospectivity of the Stannex target area.

High-Grade Tungsten Assays Highlight Multiple Prospects

Complementing tin exploration, Koba completed its first tungsten-focused reconnaissance program at Mt Garnet, collecting 44 rock chip samples across multiple prospects. The program returned standout tungsten assays including 13.2% W at the Starlight Prospect, 5.4% W at Gows, and 5.1% W at Ahmets, alongside notable tin grades such as 7.7% Sn at Maria. These results prioritized six tungsten prospects for immediate follow-up, with systematic soil sampling and mapping scheduled for August to refine drill targets.

At the Gows Prospect, historical mines produced tungsten, tin, and bismuth, and recent sampling revealed multi-element anomalies including 5.4% W, 3.2% Sn, and elevated copper and silver. This suggests a polymetallic system with potential beyond tungsten alone. Nearby, Starlight hosts an 800-metre tungsten trend with exceptionally high-grade rock chips, while Mountain Maid, Crest, Ahmets, Tungsten Knob, and Maria prospects all show promising mineralisation awaiting drill testing.

Stannary Hills Drilling Imminent After Permitting Progress

At the Stannary Hills Tin-Tungsten Project, Koba is advancing permitting to commence its maiden drilling program, expected to start shortly pending final approvals. The upcoming ~3,000-metre drill campaign will focus on the high-priority Kitchener and Jiminy prospects. The Kitchener Trend features seven historical tin mines over 1.3 kilometres of strike, with past mining producing approximately 120,000 tonnes at 2.3% tin and historical drill intercepts including 9.8 metres at 1.3% tin. Jiminy hosts a 1.5km-long, high-tenor tin-in-soil anomaly with rock chip samples up to 26.1% tin but remains untested by drilling.

Yarramba Uranium Project Extends High-Grade Mineralisation

In South Australia, Koba’s Yarramba Uranium Project reported a 50% increase in strike length of high-grade uranium mineralisation at the Everest Prospect, now extending over 6 kilometres. The April 2026 follow-up drill program of 23 holes for 2,670 metres returned the thickest and highest-grade intersections recorded to date, including 1.5 metres at 790ppm eU3O8 and a high-grade core of 0.6 metres at 1,627ppm eU3O8. A new 1-kilometre mineralised trend, Everest Bend, was discovered branching from the main trend, with mineralisation remaining open along strike and at depth.

The proximity of Everest to the 12 million-pound Jason Deposit and Honeymoon Uranium Mine, both owned by Boss Energy (ASX:BOE), situates Koba’s project within a prolific uranium district. Further infill and extensional drilling is planned to better understand mineralisation controls and expand the resource potential.

Financial Position and Outlook

Koba ended the quarter with approximately A$3.2 million in cash and listed investments valued at $216,000, supporting ongoing exploration activities. The company capitalised $420,000 in exploration expenditure during the quarter, focusing on its Queensland tin-tungsten projects and the Yarramba uranium asset. Director fees and related party payments totaled $112,000 for the quarter.

With maiden drilling complete at Mt Garnet and assays pending, alongside imminent drilling at Stannary Hills and further uranium drilling at Yarramba, Koba is positioned for a potentially transformative period of exploration results and resource definition.
