Titan Minerals Expands Dynasty Resources with Drilling and Scoping Progress

Mining By Maxwell Dee 3 min read

Titan Minerals has ramped up drilling at its Dynasty Gold Project, confirming extensions to mineralisation and advancing scoping studies ahead of a resource upgrade targeted for early 2027.

  • Surface trenching reveals 550m resource extensions at Cerro Verde
  • 10,000m drilling program underway targeting 3.9Moz gold resource growth
  • Scoping study on track for Q4 2026 delivery
  • Linderos JV partner nears completion of 25,000m copper drilling milestone
  • Company ends quarter with A$8.5 million cash and option exercises

Drilling Resumes with Promising Resource Extensions at Dynasty

Titan Minerals Limited (ASX:TTM) has reignited momentum at its 100%-owned Dynasty Gold Project in southern Ecuador, restarting drilling with three diamond rigs focused on expanding the Cerro Verde resource. Recent surface trenching confirmed significant new mineralisation zones, extending the known strike by approximately 400 metres to the west and 150 metres to the east. These findings highlight untapped potential near surface, with trench intercepts including 6.1 metres at 5.1 g/t gold and 3.5 metres at 3.9 g/t gold, alongside notable silver grades.

The company has embarked on a 10,000-metre exploration and resource extension drilling campaign aimed at growing the existing 3.9 million ounce gold and 26.1 million ounce silver Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), predominantly concentrated at Cerro Verde, which accounts for about 70% of the total resource. Results from the current drilling are expected in the coming weeks, although assay turnaround has been delayed due to laboratory backlogs.

Scoping Study Advances to Reduce Project Risks

Alongside drilling, Titan is progressing a comprehensive scoping study on the 65.5 million tonne resource at Dynasty, which grades 1.85 g/t gold and 12.38 g/t silver. Independent consultants Orelogy and Ausenco are conducting pit optimisation, engineering, process design, and capital and operating cost analyses. The study aims to provide a strategic framework for subsequent prefeasibility work and resource conversion drilling, with delivery anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Infill drilling with a nominal 40m by 40m spacing is planned to upgrade resource classification from Inferred to Indicated, a necessary step toward defining Ore Reserves and advancing the project’s development pathway.

Linderos JV Nears Key Copper Drilling Milestone

Meanwhile, Titan’s joint venture partner Hancock Prospecting’s subsidiary Hanrine is close to completing a 25,000-metre diamond drilling program at the Linderos Copper Project. This program is part of Hanrine’s earn-in commitments, which, upon completion of the final 15,000-metre phase, will increase their stake to 51%. Titan will receive a US$1 million milestone payment once this phase concludes. The drilling has delineated porphyry copper mineralisation over a strike length and depth of approximately one kilometre, confirming significant copper potential.

Ongoing Exploration at Copper Duke and Copper Field

Exploration continues at Titan’s Copper Duke and Copper Field projects, with generative work and drill targeting exercises advancing the understanding of large-scale copper systems. The company is capitalising on copper’s elevated price environment to enhance shareholder value across this portfolio.

Financial Position and Corporate Activity

At quarter-end, Titan held A$8.5 million in cash (approximately US$5.9 million), supported by option exercises generating US$218,000 and a reimbursement of US$882,000 from Hancock Prospecting for project expenses. The company maintains a strong cash position to fund ongoing exploration and study activities.

Bottom Line?

Titan’s drilling restart and advancing scoping study at Dynasty set the stage for a potential resource upgrade early next year, while JV progress at Linderos adds near-term value catalysts.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will assay results from the current 10,000m drilling confirm meaningful resource growth at Cerro Verde?
  • How will the outcomes of the Q4 2026 scoping study influence Titan’s development timeline and capital requirements?
  • What impact will Hanrine’s completion of the Linderos drilling milestone have on Titan’s valuation and JV dynamics?
