Drilling Reveals Multi-Metal Hydrothermal Activity

White Energy Company Limited (ASX:WEC) has completed an eight-hole diamond drilling campaign at its Mount Rainbow-Specimen Hill project in Central Queensland, unearthing multiple copper, gold, and silver mineralisation vectors. Each hole exhibited varying degrees of epidote, chlorite, and sericite alteration, hallmark signs of hydrothermal activity. Selective assays from four drillholes revealed evidence of several mineralising fluid pulses, suggesting a dynamic and complex system.

Southern Copper Prospect Emerges as Key Target

The standout discovery lies at the Southern Copper prospect, where drillhole C26MR08 and nearby surface samples indicate a structurally controlled Cu–Ag–Au hydrothermal system. Notably, a surface gossan sample collected roughly 280 metres from this drillhole returned impressive grades of 1.2% copper, 5.0 g/t gold, and 329 g/t silver. These figures point to an oxidised and supergene-enriched expression of primary copper sulphide mineralisation, providing a compelling focus for further technical assessment.

Geochemical Complexity Suggests Multiple Mineralising Events

Drillhole C25MR02 intersected an iron-rich hydrothermally altered interval with a complex assemblage of elements including copper, silver, gold, bismuth, tellurium, selenium, arsenic, molybdenum, and tungsten. This elemental cocktail hints at a hotter fluid pathway and multiple mineralising pulses. Meanwhile, C25MR03 delivered a peak copper assay of 452 ppm over one metre and a broader 5-metre zone averaging 245 ppm copper, possibly representing disseminated copper or an alteration halo. C25MR01, while not strongly mineralised in copper, contained several gold-bismuth-tellurium-silver-copper hydrothermal zones, suggesting multiple fluid pulses and potential vectors towards magmatic-hydrothermal structures near prior drilling by Signature Gold.

Strategic Tenure Rationalisation and Farm-In Agreement

Following a detailed review of gravity and magnetic data, White Energy has relinquished 13 sub-blocks from its tenements EPM18350 and EPM19506, reducing the combined project area to approximately 246.4 km². The Specimen Hill Project operates under a farm-in agreement with Tamar Minerals Plc and its subsidiary Signature Gold, with Amerod Resources, White Energy's wholly owned subsidiary, managing exploration. This staged earn-in arrangement requires exploration expenditure milestones to secure up to 76% ownership, with a 3% net smelter royalty retained by Signature Gold.

White Energy’s CEO Greg Sheahan emphasised the significance of the results, stating the project hosts a large and complex hydrothermal system with multiple mineralisation vectors. The company plans to continue integrating drilling, geochemical, geological, and geophysical data to refine the mineral system’s scale, geometry, and style, while preparing for further drilling and geophysical surveys.
