Ballymore Resources has made significant strides in Queensland, progressing underground development at Dittmer, expanding its silver-lead-zinc discovery at Torpy’s, and bolstering its cash position with a $5.2 million capital raise.

  • Underground development advances at Dittmer gold mine
  • New drilling expands Torpy’s silver-lead-zinc discovery
  • Broad gold mineralisation confirmed at Seventy Mile Mount
  • Expanded gravity survey identifies multiple priority targets
  • Oversubscribed $5.2 million capital raising strengthens balance sheet

Underground Development Progresses at Dittmer

Ballymore Resources (ASX:BMR) has pushed forward with underground development at its flagship Dittmer gold project in Central Queensland, upgrading the 4 Level access and southern exploration drive to support the next phase of drilling. This expanded access aims to facilitate targeted step-out drilling along the high-grade Duffer Lode, reducing drill lengths and surface disruption. The underground infrastructure will also enable trial mining and bulk sampling of historic backfill and remnant pillars, which previously returned exceptionally high gold grades, including channel samples with up to 207g/t gold, 2.97% copper, and 76g/t silver.

In parallel, Ballymore has initiated a deep-penetrating magnetotelluric (MT) survey targeting a concealed porphyry copper-gold system beneath the historic mine. Covering a 2.5km by up to 1.7km area, this government-supported survey will integrate with existing geological and geophysical data to refine the exploration model and prioritise deep drilling targets, with results expected in the third quarter of 2026.

Torpy’s Silver-Lead-Zinc Discovery Expands

At the Ruddygore Project near Chillagoe, Ballymore’s drilling campaign at the high-grade Torpy’s silver-lead-zinc discovery has extended the mineralised footprint. The recent 22 reverse circulation holes totaling 2,673m intersected broad zones of massive to semi-massive sulphide mineralisation, with visual logging indicating four potential new sulphide shoots beyond the historic mine area. These findings reinforce the potential for multiple high-grade lenses across the system. Assay results remain pending due to laboratory backlogs, with delivery expected from August.

Complementing drilling, an expanded gravity survey covering 32km of the Ruddygore corridor has identified multiple compelling anomalies, validating the Torpy’s discovery and highlighting new targets such as Little Torpy’s, MAN03, Armada East, Eleventh, and Maniopota. These anomalies coincide with historic workings, skarn alteration, and polymetallic soil geochemistry, setting the stage for further drilling and field work in Q3 2026. Ballymore is currently integrating the datasets, including three-dimensional gravity modelling, to optimise drill targeting across the Ruddygore Project.

Broad Gold Mineralisation at Seventy Mile Mount

Drilling at the Seventy Mile Mount prospect within the Ravenswood Project has confirmed broad, shallow gold mineralisation associated with a breccia system near the 2.5 million ounce Mount Leyshon gold mine. Highlights include 84.5m at 0.247g/t gold and 56m at 0.456g/t gold from two diamond drill holes, demonstrating continuity over an interpreted 260m by 80m zone. Regional fieldwork also identified multiple new gold targets along the Mount Leyshon Corridor, with stream sediment and rock chip samples returning significant gold values and visible gold nuggets up to 2mm in size. Follow-up field programs are planned for the coming quarter.

Mount Molloy Gravity Survey Targets Copper Extensions

At the Mount Molloy Project, a detailed gravity survey was completed over the historic copper-silver-zinc mine and adjacent copper-in-soil anomaly. The survey, comprising 404 stations on a 50m grid, aims to delineate extensions to known mineralisation. Modelling of the gravity data is pending, with planned follow-up including prospecting, soil sampling, and an induced polarisation survey targeting new drill targets in Q3 2026.

Capital Raise Strengthens Financial Position

Ballymore successfully completed a fully subscribed 1-for-8 non-renounceable entitlement offer, raising $3.24 million at $0.125 per share, with free attaching options exercisable at $0.22. Strong demand led to the expansion of a placement from $1.5 million to $2 million, bringing total proceeds from the capital raising to approximately $5.2 million before costs. This has boosted Ballymore’s cash balance to $4.44 million as of 30 June 2026, providing a solid funding base for ongoing exploration and development activities.

Exploration expenditure for the quarter totaled $1.11 million, primarily directed towards underground development at Dittmer and drilling and geophysical programs at Ruddygore and Ravenswood. The company holds 100% ownership across all key tenements in Queensland, including granted mining leases and exploration permits, with two additional applications pending.

Bottom Line?

Ballymore’s blend of underground development, expanding drill programs, and a solid capital raise positions it well to unlock value across multiple Queensland projects, though assay delays and survey results will be critical near-term catalysts.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will pending assay results from Torpy’s drilling confirm the extent of high-grade mineralisation?
  • How will the integration of gravity and MT survey data refine Ballymore’s drill targeting in Q3 and beyond?
  • What impact will the $5.2 million capital raise have on the pace of exploration and development activities?
