Resolution Minerals Accelerates Idaho Critical Minerals Projects with FAST-41 Status and $20M Placement

Mining By Maxwell Dee 5 min read

Resolution Minerals has secured key regulatory milestones and advanced drilling and metallurgical programs at its Horse Heaven Project in Idaho, supported by a $20 million institutional placement and strengthened U.S. strategic partnerships.

  • FAST-41 Transparency Coverage granted for Antimony Ridge and Golden Gate projects
  • Major Phase 2 drilling campaign underway at Golden Gate targeting gold and tungsten
  • High-grade antimony and silver confirmed at Antimony Ridge with promising metallurgy
  • Successful $20 million institutional placement boosts exploration and permitting
  • Board strengthened with appointment of mining executive Brett Lynch

Strategic U.S. Critical Minerals Recognition Accelerates Permitting

Resolution Minerals (ASX:RML) has positioned itself firmly within the U.S. critical minerals landscape, securing FAST-41 Transparency Coverage for both its Antimony Ridge and Golden Gate projects in Idaho. This rare dual designation by the U.S. Federal Permitting Council is designed to fast-track environmental and drilling approvals, with Antimony Ridge’s coverage allowing applications for up to 250 drill holes and large-scale bulk sampling. The Golden Gate Project followed suit shortly after quarter-end, enhancing permitting efficiency and investor visibility amid a tightening U.S. focus on domestic critical mineral supplies.

Further cementing its strategic footprint, Resolution gained membership in the U.S. Defense Industrial Base Consortium, unlocking access to defense-related funding and collaboration opportunities crucial for advancing its integrated critical minerals platform. These regulatory and strategic milestones underscore Resolution’s alignment with U.S. government initiatives aimed at reducing reliance on foreign antimony and tungsten sources.

Antimony Ridge Emerges as a High-Grade, Large-Scale System

Geological modelling at Antimony Ridge has revealed a vast mineralised system featuring over 100 high-grade antimony-silver veins across approximately 1,000 by 700 metres horizontally and 250 metres vertically. Represented by roughly 30 vein swarms and stockworks, the system remains open in all directions, signalling significant exploration upside.

Sampling results continue to impress, with antimony grades ranging from 31.7% to 48.7% Sb and silver assays up to 1,420 g/t. These grades position Antimony Ridge among the highest-grade antimony systems on the ASX and highlight its potential as a critical domestic supply source, historically significant for U.S. wartime antimony production.

Metallurgical Advances Point to Processing Opportunities

Resolution’s metallurgical test work at Antimony Ridge has achieved a key milestone with the production of a 99.38% pure antimony trioxide intermediate product using conventional pyrometallurgical methods. Complementary flotation tests demonstrated sulphide recoveries as high as 99.5%, indicating efficient extraction potential even from lower-grade material. Parallel hydrometallurgical studies at ANSTO are ongoing, exploring alternative processing pathways that could leverage Resolution’s Johnson Creek Mill infrastructure.

The Johnson Creek Mill and associated historical tungsten stockpiles also offer near-term processing prospects. Preliminary gravity separation tests on these stockpiles yielded tungsten concentrates grading up to 52.3% WO3 with recoveries of 75.5%, representing a substantial upgrade from original ore grades. This integrated approach strengthens Resolution’s vertically aligned critical minerals strategy.

Golden Gate Drilling Progresses with Encouraging Results

Resolution has mobilised two drill rigs for a major Phase 2 campaign at Golden Gate, targeting up to 13,700 metres across 45 holes to delineate gold and tungsten mineralisation and move towards a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate. Approximately half the program was completed post quarter, with initial holes intersecting strong sulphide mineralisation, alteration, shearing, and veining consistent with previously mineralised zones.

Early metallurgical testing on Golden Gate drill core samples returned gold recoveries of up to 95.5% for oxide material via cyanide leaching and 88.7% for sulphide mineralisation through flotation, supporting the project's development potential. The combination of broad gold intercepts, tungsten anomalies, and favourable metallurgy continues to underpin Resolution's view of Golden Gate as a significant multi-commodity system.

Capital Raising and Board Enhancements Fuel Growth

Backing its ambitious growth plans, Resolution completed a strongly supported institutional placement raising A$20 million at a 6.3% premium to the 20-day VWAP. Cornerstoned by Tribeca Investment Partners and L1 Capital Global Opportunities Master Fund, the capital boost will accelerate drilling, metallurgical studies, permitting under FAST-41, and evaluation of downstream processing options.

The board was further strengthened by the appointment of Brett Lynch, an international mining executive with over 30 years’ experience and a proven track record in scaling resource companies in North America. His strategic relationships and government networks are expected to be critical as Resolution advances its U.S.-focused critical minerals ambitions and prepares for a NASDAQ listing to broaden investor access and visibility.

Financial Position and Upcoming Catalysts

As of 30 June 2026, Resolution held A$10.34 million in cash, supporting ongoing exploration and development. The company reported A$2.34 million spent on exploration during the quarter, primarily on drilling and technical consultancy. With a robust balance sheet and potential additional funds from in-the-money options and tranche 2 of its placement, Resolution is well-positioned to sustain its accelerated work program.

Looking ahead, the September quarter will see continued drilling at Golden Gate, assay results from initial drill cores, ongoing permitting under FAST-41, further metallurgical test results, and continued engagement with U.S. government stakeholders. The company’s progress in securing regulatory approvals and funding, combined with its integrated project portfolio, places it at the forefront of the U.S. critical minerals supply chain race.

Bottom Line?

Resolution’s combination of regulatory acceleration, robust drilling progress, and strategic capital raising sets the stage for defining a significant U.S. critical minerals platform, but assay results and permitting outcomes will be pivotal in validating its growth trajectory.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will assay results from the Golden Gate drilling confirm the scale and continuity of gold and tungsten mineralisation?
  • How swiftly will permitting under the FAST-41 framework translate into operational approvals for large-scale drilling and bulk sampling?
  • To what extent can Resolution leverage its Johnson Creek Mill infrastructure to establish downstream processing in Idaho?
