Monument Gold Project Advances Toward Development

Verity Resources Limited (ASX:VRL) is pushing its Monument Gold Project in Laverton, Western Australia, closer to production with a maiden indicated mineral resource of 66,200 ounces, part of a total 138,000-ounce resource at 1.72 g/t gold. This upgrade, representing 48% of the resource in the indicated category, marks a significant step in de-risking the project, which benefits from proximity to existing mills, sealed roads, and a local workforce, advantages that sharply reduce capital requirements compared to more remote deposits.

The company has reported exceptional metallurgical recoveries of up to 97% at the Waihi deposit and 92.75% at Korong, supporting a straightforward gravity and cyanide leach processing route. A scoping study and processing options, including toll-treatment agreements with regional mills, are underway alongside a pending mining licence application, setting a clear pathway from explorer to developer.

Exploration continues to expand the resource footprint, with 20 kilometres of prospective banded iron formation (BIF) strike identified, and high-grade gold intercepts extending beyond the current resource envelope. Notable targets include the Gum Well intrusive-hosted gold prospect, newly granted in 2026, which shows strong pathfinder element anomalies and magnetic features analogous to multi-million-ounce deposits in the district.

Botswana Copper-Silver and Nickel-Copper-PGE Portfolio Strengthened

Verity has consolidated its position in Botswana's Limpopo Mobile Belt by acquiring full ownership of its copper-silver and nickel-copper-PGE projects. The 2.4 million tonne Maibele North inferred resource at 0.72% nickel and 0.21% copper forms the core of this portfolio, complemented by 23 untested VTEM anomalies across 2,868 square kilometres of landholding.

High-grade copper and silver intercepts at the Airstrip and Dibete prospects, including assays up to 60.98% copper and 2,833 g/t silver, underscore the district-scale potential. Ongoing exploration activities such as soil sampling, geophysics, and planned drilling aim to convert these targets into resources, leveraging nearby infrastructure and active mining neighbours.

Brazil Rare Earth Element Project Shows Near-Surface Potential

In Brazil, Verity holds a 70% interest in the Pimenta REE project, where maiden auger drilling has confirmed a more than 20-kilometre mineralised trend with rare earth oxide concentrations reaching up to 2.58% TREO near surface. The project features a high proportion of magnet rare earth oxides (24–28%), which carry significant value in electrification and defence markets.

The geological setting and mineralisation style resemble other large-scale rare earth projects, positioning Verity to capitalise on strategic metals demand. Further infill drilling, depth testing, and metallurgical studies are planned to define scale and economic potential.

Valuation Gap Highlights Re-Rating Opportunity

Despite the portfolio’s advancement across gold, copper-silver, and rare earth elements, Verity’s market capitalisation sits at approximately A$5.4 million, translating to an enterprise value of around $32 per resource ounce on the Korong-Waihi gold resource. This contrasts with pre-production Western Australian gold peers trading at roughly $200 per ounce, indicating a significant valuation gap.

The company’s multiple development pathways and diversified strategic metals exposure provide several catalysts for re-rating, including resource growth, permitting milestones, and exploration success. The board, holding 21% of shares, is aligned with shareholders, and management’s track record in advancing fieldwork into resource confidence bodes well for upcoming phases.

Bottom Line?

Verity Resources stands at a pivotal juncture, with its Monument Gold Project nearing development and strategic metals assets poised for growth; upcoming drilling and permitting outcomes will be crucial to unlocking value.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will upcoming drilling at Monument extend the resource beyond the current 138koz?
  • How will Verity prioritise capital allocation across its diverse gold, copper-silver, and REE projects?
  • Can the company secure processing and offtake agreements to underpin development at Monument and Botswana?
