Elevra Completes $16 Million Tabba Tabba Pegmatite Sale
Elevra Lithium has divested its Western Australian pegmatite rights at Tabba Tabba to Wildcat Resources for $16 million plus royalties, sharpening its focus on North American lithium growth.
- Sale of E45/2364 pegmatite rights for $16 million plus royalties
- Immediate $5 million cash and $8 million in Wildcat shares received
- Deferred $3 million cash payable after Wildcat feasibility study
- Contingent royalties based on pegmatite mineral resources
- Transaction aligns with Elevra’s North American growth strategy
Elevra Exits Tabba Tabba Pegmatite Rights
Elevra Lithium Limited (ASX:ELV; NASDAQ:ELVR) has completed the sale of its rights and obligations over exploration licence E45/2364, known as Tabba Tabba, in Western Australia to Wildcat Resources Limited (ASX:WC8). The transaction delivers a total consideration package valued at A$16 million, combining upfront cash, Wildcat shares, deferred payments, and contingent royalties.
The immediate haul includes A$5 million in cash and A$8 million worth of Wildcat shares issued at $0.353 each. A further A$3 million cash payment is deferred until six months after Wildcat announces a completed feasibility study on the Tabba Tabba project. Importantly, Elevra will also receive ongoing royalties of A$0.70 per tonne for each tonne of JORC-compliant pegmatite mineral resource Wildcat defines within E45/2364.
Strategic Portfolio Simplification
Elevra’s Managing Director Lucas Dow described the sale as unlocking immediate value from a non-core asset, enabling reinvestment into the company’s North American lithium projects. The divestment aligns with Elevra’s stated strategy of focusing capital and management attention on its core assets, including the North American Lithium operation in Québec and the Carolina Lithium project in the United States.
By shedding its Western Australian pegmatite rights, Elevra eliminates ownership complexities and liabilities associated with E45/2364, while maintaining exposure to any future upside through the contingent royalty payments. This approach balances risk reduction with the potential for financial benefit should Wildcat’s exploration efforts bear fruit.
Capital Allocation Amid North American Expansion
The timing of the sale dovetails with Elevra’s recent capital raising and financing activities aimed at expanding its North American Lithium operation. Earlier in August 2026, Elevra issued convertible notes totalling C$65 million to fund its Brownfield Expansion, a project expected to boost spodumene concentrate output and improve operating efficiencies. This sale provides additional liquidity to support those initiatives.
Elevra’s pivot away from Australian assets reflects a broader trend of concentrating resources on higher-return, near-term growth opportunities in North America, where the company holds 100% of North American Lithium and the Carolina Lithium project, as well as a majority stake in the Moblan Lithium Project in Québec.
Bottom Line?
Elevra’s divestment of Tabba Tabba crystallises value from a peripheral asset, freeing capital and management focus for its North American growth pipeline while retaining potential upside through royalties.
Questions in the middle?
- How quickly will Wildcat advance exploration and a feasibility study at Tabba Tabba?
- What portion of the deferred and contingent payments will ultimately be realised?
- How will Elevra deploy the proceeds to accelerate its North American Lithium expansion?
