Altoro Metals (ASX:ARO) has unveiled a fresh tranche of high-grade zinc assay results from the historic Emilia mine, a key site within its Novales Project in northern Spain. Systematic channel sampling returned standout intervals including 2.65 metres grading 21.1% zinc and 0.14% lead, alongside several other metre-scale hits exceeding 14% zinc. These results underscore the high-grade nature of mineralisation outside the company’s existing Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), bolstering the case for resource growth in this under-explored zone.

The continuity of mineralisation between Emilia, Novales, and Margarita mines remains untested at surface, a gap Altoro intends to address imminently.

Altoro is gearing up for its first phase of surface drilling in Cantabria, targeting the zone between Novales village and the Emilia and Margarita mines. The campaign aims to test the geological continuity of high-grade zinc mineralisation, establish the geometry and thickness of mineralised zones, and explore areas beyond the existing MRE. This drilling will be critical to validating the extent of mineralisation and potentially underpinning an updated resource estimate.
