Phase 2 Drilling Confirms Extensive Gold Mineralisation

Moonlight Resources Ltd (ASX:ML8) has wrapped up its Phase 2 reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Leo Grande Prospect within its Clermont Gold Project, delivering a significant expansion of the known gold system. The latest batch of 37 holes, totalling 6,126 metres, has extended the mineralised strike length beyond 1 kilometre, encompassing Leo Grande Central, South, and North zones.

Leo Grande Central continues to impress with broad and consistent gold intersections. Noteworthy results include 24 metres at 1.22 g/t gold from 87 metres (LGRC113), featuring higher-grade intervals such as 2 metres at 4.47 g/t gold, and 19 metres at 1.95 g/t gold from 99 metres (LGRC130). These intersections reinforce the continuity of the mineralised shear zone and add valuable density to the geological model supporting an upcoming maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE).

Extension of Mineralised Shear Beyond Central Zone

Drilling to the south and north of the central zone has intersected the Leo Grande Shear Zone’s projected extensions, confirming that the mineralised structure persists beyond the previously drilled area. While Leo Grande South shows generally lower-grade and less continuous mineralisation, it still hosts broad zones of anomalous gold, including 19 metres at 0.86 g/t gold from 114 metres (LGRC189) with a higher-grade 1 metre interval at 3.82 g/t gold. Similarly, early drilling at Leo Grande North has intersected near-surface gold mineralisation, such as 6 metres at 0.64 g/t gold from 34 metres (LGRC146), indicating the shear zone’s northern continuity.

These extensions provide fresh targets for follow-up drilling and suggest potential for resource growth beyond the central core. The company’s Managing Director, Greg Starr, highlighted the importance of these results in confirming a coherent gold-bearing shear system unconstrained over more than 1km of strike.
