Pro Medicus Secures A$23M 7-Year Cloud Imaging Contract with St. Luke’s

Major Contract Win Expands US Footprint

Pro Medicus Limited (ASX:PME) has reinforced its growing presence in the US healthcare imaging market with a new 7-year, A$23 million contract through its subsidiary Visage Imaging. The deal with St. Luke’s Health System, Idaho’s largest private employer and not-for-profit provider, will see the rollout of the Visage 7 Enterprise Imaging Platform across three states, including Idaho, eastern Oregon, and northern Nevada.

St. Luke’s operates 10 medical centres, with its flagship Boise Medical Center and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital forming the core of this expansive health network. The contract involves deploying Visage 7 Viewer and Visage 7 Workflow on a fully cloud-based platform, continuing Pro Medicus’ push into cloud-native healthcare IT solutions.

Cloud-Based Platform and Transaction Model

The implementation will follow a transaction-based licensing model, which offers Pro Medicus potential revenue upside tied to usage. This aligns with the company’s broader CloudPACS strategy, which CEO Dr Sam Hupert describes as becoming the standard in North America. The go-live is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027, with planning and rollout commencing immediately.

Dr Hupert highlighted the strategic significance of the contract, noting that St. Luke’s joins a growing roster of clients opting for the cloud-based Visage 7 platform. The deal complements a series of recent contracts, including a substantial A$90 million 7-year agreement with Beth Israel Lahey Health and a A$16 million 7-year contract with TidalHealth, underscoring the platform’s increasing adoption across diverse healthcare systems.

Pipeline Strength and Market Reach

According to Dr Hupert, Pro Medicus’ pipeline remains robust, spanning tier 1 academic medical centres, integrated delivery networks like St. Luke’s, and private imaging groups. This breadth provides the company with the largest addressable market of any comparable offering in healthcare imaging. The transaction-based model and cloud deployment also position Pro Medicus to capitalise on evolving healthcare IT trends towards scalable, flexible imaging solutions.

While the contract value and term are clear, the exact financial upside from the transaction model remains unspecified. However, the deal reinforces Pro Medicus’ momentum in North America, where cloud adoption and AI integration are reshaping medical imaging workflows.
