Golding Secures Major Residential Infrastructure Contracts
Golding Contractors, the civil construction arm of NRW Holdings Limited (ASX:NWH), has locked in two substantial contracts worth approximately $130 million from Stockland Development Pty Limited. These contracts cover civil works at the Yarrabilba and Shoreline master planned communities in Southeast Queensland, signalling continued demand for residential infrastructure in the region.
Scope and Scale of Shoreline and Yarrabilba Projects
At Shoreline, located in Redland Bay about 43 kilometres southeast of Brisbane, Golding will deliver three major work packages. These include upgrading Serpentine Creek Road with a new signalised intersection and the construction of Bebo Arch Bridge, alongside subdivision and infrastructure works for Precincts DA7 and DA8. When complete, Shoreline is planned to house over 10,000 residents across roughly 3,000 dwellings, complemented by a shopping precinct and a state primary school.
The Yarrabilba project involves subdivision and infrastructure development for Precincts 6 and 8. Situated approximately 4 kilometres south of Logan Village, Yarrabilba’s full build-out is expected to accommodate more than 45,000 residents in about 17,000 dwellings, alongside a town centre, neighbourhood hubs, and 11 schools. The Yarrabilba works are scheduled for completion by March 2028, with Shoreline due by July 2027.
Strengthening Ties with a Key Client
NRW CEO Jules Pemberton highlighted the strategic importance of these contracts, noting that Golding’s relationship with Stockland is longstanding and fruitful. Since beginning work at Yarrabilba in 2017, Golding has delivered over 3,200 residential and commercial lots, underpinning Queensland’s housing supply during a period of strong market demand.
These contract wins add to NRW’s robust project pipeline, complementing recent contract awards in equipment hire and rail infrastructure, which have collectively bolstered the company’s order book for FY27. The focus on large-scale residential developments aligns with broader infrastructure trends supporting urban expansion in Southeast Queensland.
Bottom Line?
Golding’s latest contracts deepen its foothold in Queensland’s residential infrastructure sector, with project milestones over the next two years set to provide steady revenue visibility for NRW Holdings.
Questions in the middle?
- How will Golding manage potential risks associated with large-scale residential infrastructure projects?
- What impact will these contracts have on NRW Holdings’ overall FY27 revenue and earnings?
- Could this strengthen NRW’s chances of securing further work with Stockland or other major developers?
