Emerging High-Grade Zone Beneath Historic Hopes Hill Pit

Golden Horse Minerals has delivered a standout drill result at its Hopes Hill deposit, with hole 26HHDD031 returning 16.6 metres at 3.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 392.4 metres depth. This intercept, including a high-grade 5 metres at 9.9 g/t Au, sits roughly 290 metres below surface and extends the known mineralisation about 80 metres up-dip from the previous deepest intercept. The company highlights this as a major step in delineating a well-endowed mineralised pod beneath the northern end of the historic pit, an area previously constrained by tenure.

This intercept is part of a cluster of significant high-grade results within a 200 by 200 metre area beneath the pit, including holes 26HHRCD077 (24.2m @ 2.2 g/t Au), 26HHRCD078 (8.8m @ 4.8 g/t Au), and 26HHDD009 (13.6m @ 3.0 g/t Au). Golden Horse is now prioritising further drilling to define the geometry and extent of this emerging zone, with the base of the mineralised system still open at depth, as evidenced by the 24.2m @ 2.2 g/t Au intercept in hole 26HHRCD077 located 350 metres below surface.

Extending Mineralisation Along Strike at Hopes Hill South

Along strike to the south, hole 26HHRC162 returned a broad 21-metre intercept at 1.5 g/t Au from 215 metres, including a higher-grade core of 13 metres at 2.1 g/t Au. This result extends the southern plunging shoot that outcrops into the existing pit, confirming lode thickness and geometry approximately 55 metres down plunge from earlier drilling. The lode appears to plunge gently south and remains open at depth and down plunge, prompting plans for additional reverse circulation and diamond drilling to better understand structural controls and mineralisation continuity in this zone.

Greenmount Prospect Continues to Deliver High-Grade Hits

Final assays from an extended diamond drill hole at Greenmount, located 8 kilometres south of Southern Cross, have confirmed two mineralised intercepts: 7 metres at 4.8 g/t Au from 139 metres and 2 metres at 3.1 g/t Au from 149 metres. These results build on previously reported exceptional intercepts from the Greenmount program, including 8m @ 16.3 g/t Au and 12m @ 5.2 g/t Au. Golden Horse believes it has defined a high-grade zone across the strike extent of Greenmount and plans further drilling to test and expand this target.

Ongoing Drilling and Regional Exploration Momentum

Golden Horse currently operates two diamond rigs and one reverse circulation rig at Hopes Hill, with the second diamond rig expected to demobilise following completion of the targeted high-grade zone drilling beneath the northern pit. Assay results continue to flow, supporting growing confidence ahead of the company's inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate. Concurrently, regional exploration is advancing rapidly, with aircore drilling planned across multiple prospects spanning over 130 kilometres of strike within the Southern Cross Greenstone Belt tenure.

Managing Director Nicholas Anderson emphasised the significance of the recent results, stating, "We are beginning to delineate an emerging zone with high metal content proving an attractive drill target for further exploration." The company’s strategy to integrate geological observations with conceptual models aims to refine understanding of the mineralised system and unlock further value from its dominant Southern Cross landholding.

Bottom Line?

Golden Horse’s latest drilling results at Hopes Hill and Greenmount underscore a growing high-grade gold system with significant depth and strike potential, setting the stage for an inaugural resource estimate and further exploration success.

Questions in the middle?

  • How will upcoming assay results from ongoing deeper drilling influence the scale of the Hopes Hill resource?
  • What structural controls are driving the high-grade mineralisation continuity at Hopes Hill South?
  • Can the high-grade zone at Greenmount be extended along strike with further drilling?
