Terra Metals Limited (ASX:TM1) has revealed a substantial 150-metre extension to the strike length of its Southwest PGE-Cu-Ni sulfide system at the Dante Project in Western Australia, stretching the corridor to more than 1,100 metres. This roughly 15% increase beyond previous mapping underscores the scale of the mineralised system, which remains open both along strike and at depth, offering fresh avenues for resource growth.
The standout drill hole, SWDD017, pushed the northern boundary of the Southwest Main Sulfide Zone significantly further than anticipated, intersecting 41 metres at 0.34g/t PGE3 with accompanying copper and nickel credits. This finding suggests the deposit's footprint is far from fully delineated.
High-Grade Mineralisation Confirmed in Multiple Zones
Assay results from diamond drilling have confirmed several thick, high-grade reef intervals within the broader mineralised package. Hole SWRD052 delivered a broad 275-metre intercept averaging 0.91g/t PGE3, including multiple high-grade zones exceeding 2g/t PGE3 alongside nickel and copper. Another intercept of 114 metres at 0.95g/t PGE3 further attests to the continuity of mineralisation. Near-surface mineralisation was also confirmed by SWRC083, intersecting 73 metres at 0.66g/t PGE3 starting from just 12 metres depth, highlighting the system’s accessibility.
Adding to the complex mineralisation story, shallow oxide-gold and cobalt zones have been identified, notably in SWRC059, which intersected 1 metre at 1.75g/t gold and significant cobalt values. This suggests potential for additional critical minerals beyond the core PGE-Cu-Ni system.
Robust Drilling Campaign and Future Targets
Terra Metals is running a vigorous exploration program with five drill rigs operating at Southwest, having completed over 52,000 metres of diamond and reverse circulation drilling. To date, 22,612 metres have been reported, with further assay results pending for the remainder of the year. The company is integrating ground and downhole electromagnetic (EM) surveys to identify high-conductance anomalies that may represent massive sulfide accumulations, thus prioritising future drill targets.
Heritage surveys have unlocked new areas for exploration, allowing drilling to commence in previously inaccessible zones. Downhole televiewer surveys are also underway to refine structural interpretations, which will aid in understanding the controls on mineralisation and support resource modelling.

Distinct from the existing 148 million tonne Dante Mineral Resource, the Southwest corridor represents a new style of magmatic sulfide mineralisation hosted within a thick ultramafic package. Unlike the stratiform reefs of the Dante resource, Southwest features multiple mineralised horizons across a broader mafic-ultramafic system, including stratiform reef-hosted mineralisation, disseminated sulfides, and higher-grade feeder-style massive sulfide accumulations.
