EV Resources Expands Antimony Targets with Four New Vein Systems at Los Lirios

New Vein Systems Point to Larger Antimony Footprint

EV Resources (ASX:EVR) has unveiled a major expansion of its exploration targets at the Los Lirios Antimony Project in Oaxaca, Mexico, with four previously unrecognised hydrothermal feeder vein systems now confirmed. These veins; Santo Niño, San Juan, San Ramón, and JIU; are interpreted as the conduits feeding the carbonate replacement deposit (CRD) bodies that host the project's antimony mineralisation, suggesting the mineralised system extends well beyond the areas drilled to date.

Mapping also delineated a 900-metre-long by 200-metre-wide mineralised corridor along the San Benito–Cofradía trend, within which multiple replacement bodies, breccias, and feeder structures have been identified. This corridor, together with four new hydrothermal breccia targets, substantially broadens the scope of drill-ready targets at Los Lirios.

Sampling Campaign Underway with Results Pending

The company has submitted 31 channel samples for assay, collected from underground workings and open pits across six priority areas including Los Lirios 1 Open Pit, Pit 6, San Benito Dyke, Crucero JIU, Upper Fold Hinge, and Cofradía. These samples aim to validate geological continuity and refine understanding of mineralisation controls, which appear to be governed by a combination of CRD horizons, feeder veins, breccias, and structural intersections.

Visual observations during the campaign noted coarse stibnite crystals infilling hydrothermal breccias at Tetlate Shaft 3, the strongest mineralisation seen so far, alongside associated minerals such as barite and cervantite. The Santiago target area also coincides with a geophysical anomaly, reinforcing its potential as a hydrothermal conduit.

Pathway to Drilling and Resource Definition

EVR has secured environmental authorisation for a second phase of diamond drilling, which will target the newly identified breccia pipes and intersections between feeder veins and CRD bodies. This phased drilling program is designed to test the geometry and continuity of these mineralised systems and feed into the company’s goal of delivering a maiden JORC Mineral Resource estimate at Los Lirios.

Further work plans include systematic trenching and test pits along the San Elias and San Miguel structures, detailed mapping and channel sampling of the San Francisco Breccia Pipe and Santiago targets, and ground geophysics to better define breccia geometry ahead of drilling.

EV Resources’ interim CEO Miguel Barahona highlighted the expanding footprint, stating that the team’s ongoing fieldwork continues to reveal new mineralised corridors and breccia targets, reinforcing the potential scale of the system. The pending assay results will guide the next steps in drilling and resource modelling.

Strategic Positioning in Critical Minerals

Los Lirios sits approximately 50km from EVR’s Tecomatlán Processing Plant, which is advancing towards commercial antimony concentrate production. The project forms a key part of EVR’s integrated North American antimony strategy, complementing its Nevada assets and regional ore supply agreements. Antimony’s status as a critical mineral for energy storage, defence, and high-tech applications underscores the strategic importance of expanding the resource base at Los Lirios.
