Star Range Drilling Ready After Earthworks

Diablo Resources Ltd (ASX:DBO) has finished earthworks at its North Star Prospect within the Star Range Project in Utah, establishing vehicle access and drill pads ahead of a planned diamond drilling campaign. The initial program will comprise five holes totaling approximately 1,000 metres, designed to test multiple polymetallic targets beneath surface anomalies that have yielded spectacular silver grades up to 3,043 g/t (97.8 oz/t) and gold alongside antimony.

This drilling aims to define the scale and continuity of mineralised breccia-vein systems, following extensive surface sampling and coincident geophysical anomalies. The company has already advanced regional exploration with systematic mapping and soil sampling to refine target prioritisation across the district-scale Star Range project.

Horn Silver Acquisition Progresses Towards Drilling

Meanwhile, Diablo has secured an 80% interest in 101 unpatented lode claims at the historic Horn Silver Project and holds an exclusive option over 101 patented claims, with exercise scheduled for completion in September. The project hosts the Horn Silver Mine, a prolific historic producer of approximately 17 million ounces of silver at an average grade of 604 g/t mined from the late 1800s to the 1950s.

Reconnaissance activities have commenced across the unpatented claims, including geological mapping and regional sampling to validate historic workings and refine structural interpretations. Early fieldwork confirms widespread polymetallic mineralisation consistent with a district-scale carbonate-replacement system, featuring silver, antimony, copper, and gold.

Diablo is integrating extensive historical datasets to prioritise near-mine extensions and regional targets such as the Gossan, Drum, and Buckhorn prospects. These targets are supported by geophysical data and historical workings, forming the foundation for the company's maiden drill program at Horn Silver.
