Major AI HPC Contract Boosts DXN’s Order Book

DXN Limited (ASX:DXN) has inked a substantial A$12.2 million deal to design and deliver a 2MW AI High-Performance Computing (HPC) modular data centre for an undisclosed AI compute operator. This contract nearly doubles the company’s AI HPC order book to around A$21 million, following its maiden AI HPC contract announced just two months ago.

The project involves a turnkey solution combining DXN’s purpose-built AI modules with upgrades to existing site infrastructure. The facility will integrate power, cooling, fire suppression, security, and building management systems into a single high-density data hall. The customer’s site is expected to be operational by early 2027, with detailed design and procurement already underway.

Scaling Manufacturing to Meet Growing Demand

DXN has been steadily investing in expanding its manufacturing capacity across the eastern seaboard of Australia, Malaysia, and Perth to keep pace with the accelerating demand for modular AI compute infrastructure. This contract will leverage the additional factory capacity funded through a capital raise completed in June 2026, underscoring the company’s commitment to scaling production capabilities.

Managing Director Shalini Lagrutta highlighted the significance of this contract, noting it represents a meaningful uplift in scale for DXN’s AI HPC product line. She emphasised that conventional construction methods could not meet the project’s timeframe, positioning DXN’s modular approach as a competitive advantage. The contract is seen as the first phase of a potentially larger deployment, with the facility engineered for future expansion.

Riding the Wave of AI Data Centre Growth

The deal aligns with a broader surge in global demand for AI compute infrastructure. Industry reports forecast the AI data centre market to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 27.5% through to 2032, with GPU-as-a-Service revenues expected to reach approximately US$134 billion by 2030. AI inference workloads, which require rapid deployment of high-density GPU capacity, are driving this growth.

DXN’s prefabricated AI HPC modules, factory-built and fully tested prior to shipment, can be deployed within five to eight months from contract signing, significantly faster than traditional builds. This speed and modularity cater directly to AI compute operators’ needs for scalable, rapidly deployable infrastructure.

Positioning for Future Opportunities

With this contract, DXN solidifies its foothold in the high-growth AI HPC segment, following its initial A$8.8 million contract earlier this year. The company’s ability to deliver complex, high-density GPU facilities at scale could open doors to further phases or new projects as AI compute demand intensifies globally.

While the customer’s identity remains confidential, DXN confirms that all material information relevant to the contract’s impact on its securities has been disclosed. The company’s expanded production network and modular design philosophy suggest it is well placed to capitalise on the evolving AI data centre landscape.
