Maiden Drilling Targets High-Grade Copper-Gold Anomaly

TechGen Metals Limited (ASX:TG1) has commenced its first-ever diamond drilling program at the Red Devil IP target, a standout copper-gold prospect within the company’s 100%-owned Blue Devil Project in Western Australia’s Halls Creek Orogen. The Red Devil target is underpinned by a high-intensity induced polarisation (IP) chargeability anomaly measuring around 30 to 35 mV/V over a vertical thickness of approximately 300 metres, starting 175 to 225 metres below surface.

This geophysical signature sits within a broader zone of elevated chargeability (~20 mV/V), significantly above background levels of less than 10 mV/V, indicating a strong potential for disseminated sulphide mineralisation. Surface rock chip sampling has returned exceptional grades, with assays peaking at 52.3% copper and 5.35 grams per tonne gold, alongside notable silver values up to 10.8 g/t, highlighting the prospect’s high-grade nature.

Blue Devil Project: A Dual-Target Strategy

The drilling campaign at Red Devil is closely followed by plans to test the Blue Devil target, which is geophysically larger and characterised by three strong late-time airborne electromagnetic (AEM) conductors. These conductors coincide with multiple copper and gold geochemical anomalies supported by key pathfinder elements and an interpreted intrusive body, suggesting potential for intrusion-related copper-gold mineralisation styles such as skarn, porphyry, and iron oxide copper gold (IOCG) systems.

TechGen’s Managing Director Ashley Hood emphasised the significance of the dual-target approach, describing Red Devil as the company’s best target based on geochemical and structural data, while Blue Devil represents the largest and most robust geophysical anomaly. Both targets have been developed through a combination of modern and historical datasets, including geophysics, geochemistry, and intrusive modelling, and are positioned to deliver substantial news flow as drilling progresses.

Fully Funded Exploration and Next Steps

The company confirmed it is fully funded for the current drilling campaign and additional gold target drilling planned for the fourth quarter of 2026. Drilling updates and assay results from both Red Devil and Blue Devil are anticipated in the near term, which will be critical in assessing the scale and grade continuity of the mineralisation.

TechGen’s exploration efforts have been supported by Terra Drilling and conducted in close partnership with Traditional Owners, reflecting a collaborative approach to advancing the Blue Devil Project. The maiden drilling represents a key inflection point for TechGen, transitioning from exploration targeting to the first physical testing of these high-priority copper-gold systems.
