Mineralized Zone Extended by 2.5 Kilometres at Yellow Cat

Anson Resources (ASX:ASN) has successfully extended the known uranium-vanadium mineralized zone at its Yellow Cat Project in Utah by 2,500 metres along strike. The recent air core drilling campaign, comprising 23 holes over 1,667 feet, confirmed the continuity of a paleochannel connecting the historic McCoy Group and Cactus Rat mines, two past-producing uranium-vanadium deposits.

Assay results from the program revealed uranium values up to 774 ppm over a 1-foot interval at surface in drill hole YAC14, which sits atop a previously mined 14-foot stope. According to US Atomic Energy Commission and US Geological Survey thresholds, this level of uranium concentration represents “extreme proximity” to a mineralized zone, signalling that the drilling is tracking the hydrogeochemical pathways associated with high-grade carnotite ore deposits.

The drilling program verified that the mineralized trend follows a paleochannel within the Salt Wash Member of the Morrison Formation, a geological setting known for uranium and vanadium mineralization hosted in sandstone lenses. Anson has commenced Phase 2 of its drilling program, focused on upgrading a historical resource located approximately 8 kilometres west of the Cactus Rat mine to JORC 2012 compliance. This next stage involves deeper drilling below the water table to confirm historical intercepts and better define high-grade ore bodies.

The area benefits from existing infrastructure including access roads and drill pads, facilitating operational readiness.
