Magmatic Resources (ASX:MAG) is gearing up to extend its gold exploration efforts at the Weebo Project with a follow-up Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling campaign targeting the Otto 2 and Ockerburry 3 prospects. The company plans to test the lateral geological and grade continuity over a 200-metre strike at Otto 2, where previous drilling returned multiple significant gold intercepts, including 6 metres at 1.96 g/t from 137 metres and 3 metres at 3.67 g/t from 180 metres.
At Ockerburry 3, the focus shifts to probing mineralised structures beneath an extensive supergene gold body measuring 550 by 100 metres. The drilling will explore the potential plunging high-grade gold shoot by stepping out laterally and down dip from prior intercepts such as 1 metre at 19.4 g/t from 93 metres and 8 metres at 1.52 g/t from 144 metres. The Weebo Project covers 270 square kilometres and sits amid a cluster of prolific gold mines including Darlot, Agnew–Lawlers, Bellevue, Bronzewing, and Thunderbox. This prime positioning bolsters Magmatic’s aspirations to uncover significant new gold deposits. The upcoming drilling campaign, with the rig expected on site between late August and early September 2026, follows a series of encouraging results from recent phases, which have confirmed substantial bedrock gold mineralisation across multiple prospects.
