Solstice Minerals Extends Nanadie Copper-Gold Mineralisation to 700m Depth

Solstice Minerals has pushed the boundaries of its Nanadie Copper-Gold Project, delivering a massive 722m drill intercept that extends high-grade mineralisation more than 500m below the current resource estimate.

  • 722m intercept at 0.44% Cu, 0.13g/t Au
  • High-grade zones comparable to global copper systems
  • Mineralisation extends 500m below current MRE
  • Drilling to accelerate with multiple rigs
  • Assays pending from 14 diamond tails and 20 RC holes

Deep Drilling Uncovers Scale and Grade at Nanadie

Solstice Minerals (ASX:SLS) has delivered a defining moment at its Nanadie Copper-Gold Project in Western Australia, with diamond drillhole NANRCD005 returning a staggering combined intercept of 722.3 metres at 0.44% copper and 0.13 grams per tonne gold. This result extends mineralisation more than 700 metres below surface and crucially, over 500 metres beneath the current 40.4 million tonne Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), confirming that Nanadie is growing into a significant copper-gold system.

Multiple wide, high-grade zones punctuate this intercept, including standout intervals such as 28 metres at 1.31% copper and 0.30g/t gold from 630 metres, and 43.3 metres at 0.91% copper and 0.35g/t gold from 761.7 metres depth. These grades and widths are comparable to those seen in globally significant porphyry copper deposits, underscoring the quality of the system Solstice is delineating.

Continuity and Confidence from Visual to Assay Correlation

The diamond tail was drilled to extend a Reverse Circulation (RC) precollar (NANRC005), itself returning intercepts up to 57 metres at 0.60% copper and 0.16g/t gold. The combined RC and diamond results demonstrate strong continuity of mineralisation well below the current MRE boundary. Importantly, the copper-gold assays correlate closely with zones of visible chalcopyrite mineralisation observed during geological logging, lending confidence to pending assays from 14 additional diamond tails and over 20 RC holes currently in processing or awaiting dispatch.

Solstice’s Chief Executive Officer Nick Castleden emphasised the significance: "NANRCD005 is an extraordinary drillhole that marks another defining moment in the rapidly unfolding story at Nanadie. The combined intercept provides definitive evidence that the deposit will continue to deliver scale and grade way beyond the current MRE limits." He highlighted the presence of multiple substantial higher-grade zones within the broader mineralised envelope, reinforcing the deposit’s potential.

Accelerating Drilling and Expanding Footprint

Drilling activity is set to ramp up with the completion of expanded camp and core processing facilities, and the imminent arrival of a second RC rig. Solstice plans to operate multiple RC and diamond rigs through the remainder of the year, targeting extensions along the 1.2-kilometre strike length of the Nanadie system, which remains open both along strike and at depth.

The company also intends to test nearby targets such as the Stark Prospect with initial short-hole RC drilling, aiming to explore unexplored strike extensions and geophysical anomalies. This broader exploration corridor offers further potential to grow the resource beyond the current MRE.

Strategic Location and Resource Growth Potential

Nanadie sits on a granted Mining Lease in flat terrain within the infrastructure-rich WA Goldfields, a jurisdiction favourable for future development. The deposit hosts an inferred resource of 40.4 million tonnes at 0.4% copper and 0.1g/t gold, containing approximately 162,000 tonnes of copper and 130,000 ounces of gold. The recent deep drilling results suggest material expansion is achievable, particularly with high-grade zones identified along the eastern margin of the host gabbro, an area under-tested near surface.

With $45 million in cash and no debt, Solstice is well positioned to aggressively advance its drilling program and resource definition. The company’s geological model and ongoing geophysical surveys continue to open new targets, supporting a steady stream of news flow and assay results in the months ahead.

Bottom Line?

Solstice’s deep drilling at Nanadie reveals a large, high-grade copper-gold system with clear potential to expand well beyond current resource boundaries.

Questions in the middle?

  • How will upcoming assay results from pending diamond tails and RC holes influence the next resource update?
  • What is the potential for higher-grade zones to extend upward into under-explored portions of the current resource area?
  • How might exploration at the Stark Prospect and other nearby targets alter the overall project scale?
