Antipa Minerals Extends Gold-Copper Mineralisation Over 1km at Tim’s Dome
Antipa Minerals has expanded gold-copper-lead-silver mineralisation at its Tim’s Dome target over more than a kilometre of strike, advancing diamond drilling to test a large untested electromagnetic conductor.
- Gold-copper-lead-silver mineralisation extended over 1km at Tim’s Dome
- Diamond core tails underway to test 1.2km long AEM conductor
- New coherent gold-copper anomalies defined at AL01 and Yolanda Trend
- Growth drilling extends GEO-01 Main Zone mineralised lodes
- Three rigs active across Minyari Project with ongoing drilling
Tim’s Dome Emerges as a High-Priority Telfer-Style Target
Antipa Minerals Ltd (ASX:AZY) has significantly bolstered the prospectivity of its Tim’s Dome satellite deposit within the 4,500km² Minyari Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia’s Paterson Province. The latest batch of Phase 1 CY2026 drilling results reveals gold-copper-lead-silver mineralisation extending over approximately 1 kilometre of strike, directly above a large, previously untested airborne electromagnetic (AEM) conductor.
This conductor, stretching 1.2km in length and ranging from 200m to 470m in width, lies roughly 270 to 340 metres below surface and remains just out of reach of current reverse circulation (RC) drilling. To bridge this gap, Antipa has commenced diamond core tails on select RC holes, aiming to directly test this substantial, bedding-parallel reef-style target. The geological context and metal associations align with a Telfer-style intrusion-related system, a hallmark of the nearby Greatland Resources’ Telfer mine.
Notably, drill hole 26XTDC0060, which reached within 60 metres of the western edge of the conductor, returned multiple gold intersections including 10 metres at 1.5 g/t gold from 242m, highlighted by a standout 1m interval at 10.1 g/t gold. Accompanying copper, lead, silver, and pathfinder elements such as arsenic and antimony further underpin the target’s potential. These results reinforce Tim’s Dome as a priority for immediate and focused follow-up drilling.
Discovery Momentum at AL01 and Yolanda Trend
Beyond Tim’s Dome, Antipa has delineated three additional coherent gold-copper and pathfinder anomalies at the AL01 target, located 17km north of Minyari. Systematic air core drilling over the eastern and northern sectors of AL01 defined anomalies extending 500 to 700 metres each, with shallow low-grade gold mineralisation hosted mainly within metasedimentary rocks. These findings set the stage for planned follow-up RC drilling to better define these targets.
Similarly, drilling along the Yolanda Trend has uncovered a large-scale coincident copper-arsenic-zinc anomaly spanning approximately 2.1km along strike and up to 600m across, with peak assays including 4m at 1,845ppm copper. This anomaly is accompanied by a 5km-long zinc anomaly and a 500m arsenic anomaly, all coincident with the copper-zinc signature, an exploration hallmark consistent with mineralisation styles across the Minyari Dome resource.
Resource Growth at GEO-01 Main Zone and Active Drilling Across Minyari
Growth drilling continues to extend mineralised hangingwall lodes at the GEO-01 Main Zone. Partial assays from diamond hole 26XMDD0555 returned 10m at 1.1 g/t gold and 0.07% copper from 136m, including a higher-grade 3m interval at 2.7 g/t gold and 0.16% copper. These results support ongoing resource expansion efforts.
Three rigs remain active across the Minyari Project, drilling at Tim’s Dome, Minyari Dome, and Jezabeel. The program encompasses a mix of RC, diamond core, and air core drilling, fully funded by Antipa’s cash reserves and supplemented by a WA Government Exploration Incentive Scheme grant of A$180,000 specifically supporting diamond drilling at Tim’s Dome.
Antipa’s Managing Director Roger Mason emphasised the significance of these results, noting the confirmation of mineralisation above the large AEM conductor and the imminent diamond drilling to test this target. He highlighted the broader pipeline of opportunities across the project and the company’s progress toward completing the Minyari Dome Pre-feasibility Study (PFS), positioning the project for continued advancement.
Strategic Positioning in a Tier-One Gold-Copper Province
The Minyari Project benefits from its location within the Paterson Province, a globally recognised mineral province hosting major operations such as Greatland Resources’ Telfer mine and Havieron development, Rio Tinto-Sumitomo’s Winu deposit, and Rio Tinto’s Calibre-Magnum deposits. Antipa’s 100%-owned Minyari Project currently holds Mineral Resources totaling 2.9 million ounces of gold, 91,000 tonnes of copper, 880,000 ounces of silver, and 13,000 tonnes of cobalt, underscoring its significant scale and potential.
The ongoing CY2026 Phase 1 drilling campaign is ambitious, targeting 321 holes for 41,000 metres across multiple targets with objectives to systematically test regional discovery targets and grow existing resources. The program’s design reflects a dual focus on new discovery and resource expansion, supported by robust assay results and geophysical data integration.
Bottom Line?
Antipa’s expanding mineralisation at Tim’s Dome and new discoveries at AL01 and Yolanda set the stage for critical diamond drilling results that could reshape the Minyari Project’s development trajectory.
Questions in the middle?
- Will diamond drilling confirm the high-grade potential of the large AEM conductor at Tim’s Dome?
- How will new anomalies at AL01 and Yolanda influence the prioritisation of exploration targets?
- What impact will these results have on the timing and scale of the Minyari Dome Pre-Feasibility Study?
